Journal ArticleDOI

Discrimination of nuclear recoils from alpha particles with superheated liquids

TL;DR: The PICASSO collaboration observed for the first time a significant difference between the acoustic signals induced by neutrons and alpha particles in a detector based on superheated liquids, which offers the possibility of improved background suppression and could be especially useful for dark matter experiments as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dijet Production in √s̅ = 7 TeV pp Collisions with Large Rapidity Gaps at the ATLAS Experiment

Georges Aad, +2852 more
- 10 Mar 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a 6.8 nb(-1) sample of pp collision data collected under low-luminosity conditions at root s = 7 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is used to study diffractive dijet production.

Search for displaced vertices arising from decays of new heavy particles in 7 TeV pp collisions at ATLAS

Georges Aad, +3012 more
Journal ArticleDOI

A study of Ks0 production in Z0 decays

Gideon Alexander, +318 more
- 01 Aug 1991 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the production of K0 mesons in e+e− interactions at center of mass energies in the region of the Z0 mass with the OPAL detector at LEP.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for heavy vector-like quarks coupling to light quarks in proton-proton collisions at √{ s} = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +3159 more
- 30 May 2012 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a search for singly produced vector-like quarks, coupling to light quarks and the search is sensitive to both charged current (CC) and neutral current (NC) processes.
