07 Apr 2003TL;DR: It is shown that it is always sufficient to consider a bounded number of agents b (b = 2 for secrecy properties for example): if there is an attack involving n agents, then there is a attack involving at most b agents.
Abstract: We consider arbitrary cryptographic protocols and security properties. We show that it is always sufficient to consider a bounded number of agents b (actually b = 2 in most of the cases): if there is an attack involving n agents, then there is an attack involving at most b agents.

Abstract: This unique book on modern topology looks well beyond traditional treatises and explores spaces that may, but need not, be Hausdorff. This is essential for domain theory, the cornerstone of semantics of computer languages, where the Scott topology is almost never Hausdorff. For the first time in a single volume, this book covers basic material on metric and topological spaces, advanced material on complete partial orders, Stone duality, stable compactness, quasi-metric spaces and much more. An early chapter on metric spaces serves as an invitation to the topic (continuity, limits, compactness, completeness) and forms a complete introductory course by itself. Graduate students and researchers alike will enjoy exploring this treasure trove of results. Full proofs are given, as well as motivating ideas, clear explanations, illuminating examples, application exercises and some more challenging problems for more advanced readers.

TL;DR: It is shown that a positive-semidefinite solution of the coupled algebraic discrete-time Riccati-like equation occurring in Markovian jump control problems exists and can be obtained as a limit of a monotonic sequence.

TL;DR: In this paper, a triazole-linked acetyl-β-N -glucosyl anthraquinone 1 was conveniently synthesized through one-step click chemistry, which exhibited a remarkable blue shift absorption and quenching fluorescence in the presence of trace amounts of Cu 2+, presumably attributable to intramolecular charge transfer (ICT).

TL;DR: It is proposed that the dimeric core recognizes specific motifs, with the second interface being critical for their correct head to tail assembly and the view that the same interacting interfaces are also involved on the DNA.
