TL;DR: In this paper, a method for the theoretical evaluation of spectral specific detectivities for p-n heterojunction detectors is discussed, in which the Anderson model is used and the carrier concentrations of the two semiconductors are so chosen that photocarriers generated in the lower band gap material do not have to surmount a junction barrier.

TL;DR: In this article, the results of EPR and ionic thermocurrents (ITC) experiments on cubic solid solutions of the type Sr 1- x Eu x F 2+ x.
Abstract: In this paper we report about the results of EPR and ionic thermocurrents (ITC) experiments on cubic solid solutions of the type Sr 1- x Eu x F 2+ x . A part of the Eu-ions is in the divalent state; these ions can be detected easily with EPR. From the EPR results we conclude that for 0≦ x ≦0.115 the long range order is still cubic and the lattice parameter does not vary appreciably. The interactions between distant Eu 3+ -F - i dipoles and the Eu 2+ probes is estimated; from this we conclude that for \(x{\gtrsim}0.044\) clustering of trivalent Eu-ions cannot be excluded. The ITC results are in line with those obtained from EPR. In addition we note that for small values of x nearest neighbor (NN) Eu 3+ -F - i complexes are the dominant defects. For x >5.10 -3 NNN dipoles are present also. Apart from the reorientation bands associated with the above mentioned defects we observe with ITC a depolarization peak, ascribed to space charge phenomena. The behavior of the dipole peaks and the space charge peak is d...

TL;DR: In this paper, low field and high field DC conductivity measurements have been made on macroporous p-type porous silicon (PS) samples prepared by anodic dissolution, and the conduction mechanism is found to be due to Variable Range Hopping near the Fermi level for temperatures below 150 K. At high temperatures, tunneling of carriers in the localized states in the band edges near the valence band.

TL;DR: In this article, a microstrip rectangular patch antenna fabricated on LiTiMg ferrite substrate is presented which has also been compared with same structure of antenna on dielectric (RT duroid) substrate for the X band (10 GHz).
Abstract: A microstrip rectangular patch antenna fabricated on LiTiMg ferrite substrate is presented which has also been compared with same structure of antenna on dielectric (RT duroid) substrate for the X band (10 GHz). The structure of antenna has been optimized with IE3D and lithographed on 2 mm thickness ferrite substrate. The radiation patterns are measured in anechoic chamber and plotted for both E-plane and H-plane. Using ferrite material the patch size reduced to 37% compare to antenna printed on dielectric substrate. If we can compare the values of return loss radiation power, gain, quality factor and VSWR for antenna on ferrite substrate which is better than the antenna on dielectric substrate but the bandwidth and directivity of antenna was much affected negatively. For this work we have synthesized the polycrystalline LiTiMg ferrite by the solid state reaction technique (SSRT) and characterized their electric and magnetic properties.
