TL;DR: In this article, a qualitative approach was used and unstructured interviews with subject matter experts were conducted to gain general insight into how logistics service providers perceive the problems in city logistics in Izmir and the solutions they propose.
Abstract: The city logistics is the multidisciplinary science that makes a bridge between both urban freight transportation and sustainability of the cities. It has also focused on various subject matters such as populations, facilities, traffics and logistics activities. If all this dynamic criteria consider, different logistics scheme must be prepared for each city. Cities have to be handled and analysed individually according to their own characteristics. In order to understand the current situation and problems of urban freight transport in Turkey, this paper examines the specific focus on Turkey's third largest city Izmir in terms of city logistics with the eye of logistics service providers. A qualitative approach was used and unstructured interviews with subject matter experts were conducted to gain general insight into how logistics service providers perceive the problems in city logistics in Izmir and the solutions they propose. Regarding the gap between theory and practice, this study would be valuable for future research in city logistics studies, and the results of the study would be a practical tool for decision makers in their city logistics planning process.

TL;DR: This paper discusses critical success factors, end-Users, ERP Applications, Manufacturing Industry.
Abstract: Today’s competitive world is given the critical role of enterprise resource planning (ERP) for coordinating the workflow in companies from different industries. To provide valuable insights into ERP, identifying the critical factors are the most important issue in achieving quality and success. Both in literature and practice, there are quite a few of success factors for ERP applications. One of the purposes of this paper is to empirically classify the most important critical factors referred by scholars in previous studies. Another purpose is to determine the critical success factors in the light of end-user perceptions. In this respect, exploratory factor analysis was conducted to determine the factorial structure of the scale. Data was collected 128 ERP end-users from different departments of companies in manufacturing industry. The results of the analysis provided a six-dimensional structure for critical success factors (CSFs) in quality and successful ERP applications. TL;DR: This study proposes two different integer programming models, namely, timetabling and assignment based models, and then a scheduling based constraint programming model to solve the flight-gate assignment problem to optimality.
Abstract: Flight-gate assignment problems are complex real world problems involving different constraints. Some of these constraints include plane-gate eligibility, assigning planes of the same airline and planes getting service from the same ground handling companies to adjacent gates, buffers for changes in flight schedules, night stand flights, priority of some gates over others, and so on. In literature there are numerous models to solve this highly complicated problem and tackle its complexity. In this study, first, we propose two different integer programming models, namely, timetabling and assignment based models, and then a scheduling based constraint programming model to solve the problem to optimality. These models prove to be highly efficient in that the computational times are quite short. We also present the results for one day operation of an airport using real data. Finally, we present our conclusions based on our study along with the possible further research.
