TL;DR: This paper focuses on the conceptual design and the development of a floating neighborhood by taking advantage of computational methods in the region of Urla - a coastal town close to Izmir in Turkey, and makes use of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms.
Abstract: This paper focuses on the conceptual design and the development of a floating neighborhood by taking advantage of computational methods. An application to a concept design of a floating neighborhood in the region of Urla - a coastal town close to Izmir in Turkey, has been studied. The scenario that has been addressed concerns the development of an efficient floating settlement between four islands that are local to the study region.

TL;DR: A simple and robust method is proposed for preprocessing and feature extraction stages of the EEG classification, which includes noise removal by EEG subtraction, channel selection, EEG band extraction using discrete wavelet transform, cross-correlation of EEG channels with effective channels and statistical parameter calculation.
Abstract: In brain–computer interface (BCI) systems, the classification of electroencephalography (EEG) mental tasks is an important issue. This classification involves many steps: signal preprocessing, feature extraction and classification. In this study, a simple and robust method is proposed for preprocessing and feature extraction stages of the EEG classification. The method includes noise removal by EEG subtraction, channel selection, EEG band extraction using discrete wavelet transform, cross-correlation of EEG channels with effective channels and statistical parameter calculation. Two datasets are classified to illustrate the performance of the proposed method. One of them is the BCI competition III dataset IVa which is commonly used in research articles, and the second is recorded using Emotiv Epoc + headset. The results show that the average accuracy of the classification using an artificial neural network and support vector machine is above 96%.

TL;DR: In this article, Turkish public relations firms have been subjected to many changes, particularly advances in communication technologies, which have forced PR firms to restructure their organizations and adapt to new business models.
Abstract: 2008 global economic crisis affected many companies. In order to survive and to become more competitive in today's turbulent business world, companies took drastic actions to gain cost reduction from every part of their business. Turkey, having been experienced a bigger crisis in 2001 and developed many models to manage the situation until 2008, is accepted as being more precautious than other countries. Still, Turkish public relations (PR) firms have been subjected to many changes, particularly advances in communication technologies, which have forced PR firms to restructure their organizations and adapt to new business models. The main purpose of our research is to gain insight on how Turkish PR firms adapted to the time of turbulence. Our research is based on qualitative data obtained from leading PR firms that are the members of ICCO representative IDA (Communication Consultancy Companies Association) in Turkey.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyze the logistics service quality provided by freight forwarder logistics company in Izmir, Turkey and use the best worst method (BWM) to find the weight of each quality dimensions with a mathematical model.
Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to analyze the logistics service quality provided by freight forwarder logistics company in Izmir, Turkey. As in every sector, competition between companies is increasing day by day in the logistics sector. Therefore, all companies in the service sector must provide good and quality service in the face of increasing competition. In addition to the cost factor to attract limited customers in the market, logistics companies can also come to the fore with the service quality they offer. The service quality of a business depends on what the customer expects from that service and the extent to which their expectations are met. In the study, firstly, the expectations of the customers are analyzed from the quality service perspective and secondly, the quality of the company, which serves for the same quality indicators, has been tried to be measured. To achieve these aims, service quality (SERVQUAL) method will be used. Also, the Best Worst Method (BWM) will be used to find the weight of each logistics service quality dimensions with a mathematical model.
