High-throughput screening for expression of heterologous proteins in the yeast Pichia pastoris

TLDR
This work has developed a cultivation and induction protocol amendable to automation to increase the number of clones screened for protein expression and is able to screen for and identify expression clones which produce heterologous protein with a yield of 5 mg l(-1) culture volume or higher.

The Strep -tag system for one-step purification and high-affinity detection or capturing of proteins

TL;DR: The Strep-tag II, which is short, biologically inert, proteolytically stable and does not interfere with membrane translocation or protein folding, offers a versatile tool both for the rapid isolation of a functional gene product and for its detection or molecular interaction analysis.
