Abstract
Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.

The Interactive Effect of Internal and External Factors on a Proactive Environmental Strategy and its Influence on a Firm's Performance

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on a proactive environmental strategy is moderated by the intensity of government regulations and customers' sensitivity to environmental issues, and the relationship between the PES and a firm's performance in terms of sales and profit growth.

The Effect of Experience Quality on Perceived Value, Satisfaction, Image and Behavioral Intention of Water Park Patrons: New versus Repeat Visitors

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a conceptual model to examine how customers' perceptions of the quality of experiences influence perceived value, water park image, customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions for first-time and repeat customers of the water park of the tourism industry.

Internal-market orientation and its measurement

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report the results of a study aimed to develop and empirically validate an instrument for assessing the company's degree of internal market orientation (IMO) adoption.

Relationships among Spectator Gender, Motives, Points of Attachment, and Sport Preference

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate the relationships among gender, type of sport, motives, and points of attachment to a team for spectators of selected intercollegiate sports, and find that gender explained 2% of the variance in motives and 3% of variance in points-of-attachment.

Job involvement, commitment, satisfaction and turnover: Evidence from hotel employees in Cyprus

TL;DR: In this article, the causal relationships of job involvement, organizational commitment (normative and affective), and job satisfaction (intrinsic and extrinsic), with the intention of hospitality employees in Cyprus to either remain at or leave their job, were investigated.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification

TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures

TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
