Abstract
Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.

A Three-Component Model of Customer to Service Providers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors address the role of consumer commitment on consumers' intentions to switch and develop a switching model that includes a three-component conceptualization of customer commitment, which is used to test the model based on data from a survey of 356 auto repair service customers.

The effects of perceived co-worker involvement and supervisor support on service provider role stress, performance and job satisfaction

TL;DR: In this article, a causal modeling approach was used to test the relationship between co-worker involvement and supervisory support in a front-line service provider, and the results indicated a positive relationship between role conflict and job performance, and that job performance mediates effects of role stress on satisfaction.

Virtual Customer Environments: Testing a Model of Voluntary Participation in Value Co‐creation Activities

TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual model that draws on the uses and gratifications approach to consider an integrated set of four benefits that customers gain from their interactions in virtual customer environments (VCEs) is presented.

The effects of social media based brand communities on brand community markers, value creation practices, brand trust and brand loyalty

TL;DR: It is shown that brand trust has a full mediating role in converting value creation practices into brand loyalty and that such communities could enhance brand loyalty through brand use and impression management practices.

Young consumers' intention towards buying green products in a developing nation: Extending the theory of planned behavior

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as its theoretical framework and further attempted to extend the TPB by incorporating additional constructs (environmental concern and environmental knowledge) in it.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification

TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures

TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
