Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.read more

Balancing exploration and exploitation: The moderating role of competitive intensity
Seigyoung Auh,Bulent Menguc +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the contingency role that competitive intensity plays in explaining the relationship between exploration/exploitation and firm performance is discussed, and a conceptual argument posits that exploration will be positively related to effective firm performance while exploitation will be negatively related to efficient firm performance as competitive intensity increases.

Impact of eBusiness technologies on operational performance: The role of production information integration in the supply chain
TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of e-Business technologies on supply chain practices remains largely an unexplored area of research, and the authors hypothesize that while there may be no direct benefit of ebusiness technologies on performance, these technologies might support customer integration and supplier integration in the supply chain, which in turn might impact operating performance.

Structural Differentiation and Ambidexterity: The Mediating Role of Integration Mechanisms
TL;DR: The findings suggest that the previously asserted direct effect of structural differentiation on ambidexterity operates through informal senior team and formal organizational integration mechanisms, and contributes to a greater clarity and better understanding of how organizations may effectively pursue exploration and exploitation simultaneously to achieve ambideXterity.

Exploring the Subtle Relationships between Environmental Concern and Ecologically Conscious Consumer Behavior
James A. Roberts,Donald R. Bacon +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, data on the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) scale and a scale designed to measure ecologically conscious consumer behavior (ECCR) were collected from a national mail sample of 572 respondents.

Cross-cultural reliability and validity of a scale to measure firm entrepreneurial orientation
TL;DR: The ENTRESCALE scale as discussed by the authors examines eight items reflecting the innovative and proactive disposition of management at a given firm and uses them to measure the extent of entrepreneurial orientation among main operations, subsidiaries, and (potential) partner firms in foreign lands.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification
TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures
TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
