Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.read more

Perceived Effectiveness of Push vs. Pull Mobile Location Based Advertising
Ramaprasad Unni,Robert R. Harmon +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present initial consumer evaluations of mobile location-based advertising (LBA), a new form of marketing communication that uses location-tracking technology in mobile networks to target consumers with location-specific advertising on their cell phones.

Consumer privacy concerns and preference for degree of regulatory control: A study of mobile advertising in Japan
TL;DR: In this paper, the consequences of consumers' privacy concerns in the context of mobile advertising are explored, and the proposed research model connects a series of psychological factors (prior negative experience, information privacy concerns, perceived ubiquity, trust, and perceived risk) and preference for degree of regulatory control.

Organizational culture as determinant of product innovation
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the relationship between organizational culture and product innovation and found that while ad hocratic cultures could enhance the development of new products or services, hierarchical cultures inhibit product innovation.

Why do you cruise? Exploring the motivations for taking cruise holidays, and the construction of a cruising motivation scale
Kam Hung,James F. Petrick +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a measurement scale for motivation to cruising and examined the role of cruising motivation on intention to cruise and found that cruising motivation has a positive influence on cruising intention.

The faultline activation process and the effects of activated faultlines on coalition formation, conflict, and group outcomes
Karen A. Jehn,Katerina Bezrukova +1 more
TL;DR: This paper examined the effects of group faultline activation on coalition formation, conflict, and group outcomes and found that groups with activated faultlines were more likely to form coalitions, have high levels of group conflict and lower levels of satisfaction and group performance than dormant faultline groups.

A new look at the statistical model identification
TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures
TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
