Abstract
Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.

What makes online reviews helpful? A diagnosticity-adoption framework to explain informational and normative influences in e-WOM

TL;DR: In this paper, dual-process theory has been adopted to investigate the informational and normative predictors of information diagnosticity and its links with consumers' information adoption, which suggests that consumers are primarily influenced by the quality of information and subsequently influenced by customer ratings and overall rankings.

Customer relationship dynamics: Service quality and customer loyalty in the context of varying levels of customer expertise and switching costs

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of customer investment expertise and perceived switching costs on the relationships between technical and functional service quality and customer loyalty were investigated, and it was shown that technical service quality is a more important determinant of customer loyalty than functional service qualities as expertise increases.

A Study of Management Perceptions of the Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Organisational Performance in Emerging Economies: The Case of Dubai

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the link between CSR activities and organisational performance and found that CSR has a positive relationship with all three measures of organizational performance: financial performance, employee commitment, and corporate reputation.

Organizational learning as a determining factor in business performance

TL;DR: In this paper, the degree to which organizational learning influences business performance is investigated for 195 Spanish firms with more than 200 employees using the statistical technique of structural equation modeling, and the results provide support for the view that organizational learning contributes positively both to innovation and competitiveness and to economic/financial results.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification

TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures

TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
