Abstract
Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.

The role of atmospheric cues in online impulse-buying behavior

TL;DR: The results support the validity of the S-O-R model in the context of online impulse-buying behavior and show a significant positive effect of two dimensions of virtual atmospheric cues (design and navigation).

A SEM-neural network approach for predicting antecedents of m-commerce acceptance

TL;DR: The results showed that customization and customer involvement are the strongest antecedents of the intention to use m-commerce, which will be useful for m- commerce providers in formulating optimal marketing strategies to attract new consumers.

The dark and the bright side of co-creation: Triggers of member behavior in online innovation communities

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated triggers of both positive and negative behavior of participants of the SPAR Bag Design Contest and found that dis-/satisfaction with the outcome, perceived fairness, and sense of community are major determinants for negative as well as positive reactions of innovation community members.

The impact of website quality on customer satisfaction and purchase intention: perceived playfulness and perceived flow as mediators

TL;DR: It is found that the service quality is more important than information and system quality in influencing customer satisfaction and purchase intention and the relationship between perceived playfulness and perceived flow is reciprocal.

The role of affect and cognition on online consumers' decision to disclose personal information to unfamiliar online vendors

TL;DR: It is found that, initial emotions formed from an overall impression of a Web site act as initial hurdles to information disclosure and once online consumers enter the information exchange stage, fairness-based levers further adjust privacy beliefs.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification

TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures

TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
