Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.read more

Strategic Consensus and Performance: The Role of Strategy Type and Market-Related Dynamism
TL;DR: The authors examined the relationship between consensus on the type of SBU-level strategy among senior marketing and R&D-managers and organizational performance for a sample of 101 US and German SBUs in three industry sectors: consumer packaged goods, electrical equipment and components, and mechanical machinery.

Top Management Attention to Innovation: The Role of Search Selection and Intensity in New Product Introductions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed and tested an attention-based theory of search by top management teams and the influence on firm innovativeness, using an in-depth field study of 61 publicly traded high-technology firms and their top executives.

Responsiveness to Customers and Competitors:The Role of Affective and Cognitive Organizational Systems
TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a conceptual framework that distinguishes between a cognitive and an affective organizational system as two important antecedents of organizational responsiveness and find that the affective system is more important in driving responsiveness to customers and the cognitive organizational systems are more important to drive responsiveness to competitors, and that the relative importance of cognitive system as a driver of responsiveness is greater in firms with a low market share and in markets with low entry barriers for new competitors.

Antecedents and consequences of adaptive selling confidence and behavior: A dyadic analysis of salespeople and their customers.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors distinguish, measure, and model the attitudinal and behavioral aspects of adaptive selling, something that is encouraged but not thoroughly examined in the literature, and the implications for management and theory are discussed.

Customer perceived value in B-t-B service relationships: Investigating the importance of corporate reputation
TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical model of antecedents and consequences of customer perceived value (CPV) in a B2B service industry setting is presented, where corporate reputation, information sharing, distributive fairness and flexibility are modeled as drivers of CPV whereas word-of-mouth (WOM) and search for alternatives (loyalty measures) represent the effects of value perceptions.

A new look at the statistical model identification
TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures
TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
