Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.read more

Does Distance Still Matter? Geographic Proximity and New Product Development:
TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify the limitations of these assumptions and offer an enriched model of the influence of geographic proximity on new product development, which they test using both a cross-sectional survey of 155 firms in the U.S. optics industry and a longitudinal follow-up survey of 73 of these firms.

The Value of Customer Cocreated Knowledge during the Innovation Process
TL;DR: In this article, customer cocreated knowledge is first delineated into its key value dimensions of relevance, novelty, and costs, and then their impact on various innovation outcomes is investigated. But, despite its suggested importance, previous research has revealed contradictory findings regarding its impact, the nature of involved customers, and the channels of communication that enable cocreation.

The effect of Facebook users’ arousal and valence on intention to go to the festival: Applying an extension of the technology acceptance model
Woojin Lee,Lina Xiong,Clark Hu +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an extended TAM (technology acceptance model) is adopted to explain the mechanism by which social media marketing influences attitudes toward Facebook event pages, and the authors find that users' emotions exhibited on the Facebook event page do have a significant impact on the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment of such social media advertising.

The effect of work climate on critical employee and customer outcomes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examine several work climate variables and their impact on service quality and show that both climate variables contribute directly to job satisfaction and work effort, and indirectly impact on customers' perceptions of employee service quality.

The relationship between trust, HRM practices and firm performance
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the trust mechanism and the way HRM practices mediate its impact on improving organizational performance and found that HR managers are more likely to offer training and shape the internal promotion system when trust is high.

A new look at the statistical model identification
TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures
TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
