Criteria for evaluating structural equation models with latent variables are defined, critiqued, and illustrated. An overall program for model evaluation is proposed based upon an interpretation of converging and diverging evidence. Model assessment is considered to be a complex process mixing statistical criteria with philosophical, historical, and theoretical elements. Inevitably the process entails some attempt at a reconcilation between so-called objective and subjective norms.read more

Antecedents, moderators, and outcomes of innovation climate and open innovation: An empirical study in SMEs
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of organizational antecedents and innovation climate on OI as well as its consequences on firm performance in SMEs are analyzed. But most of the existing literature still relies on case studies and conceptual frameworks, with little empirical research in the specific context of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Building brand loyalty through managing brand community commitment
TL;DR: The authors analyzed the effect of trust and affect toward a brand community on the commitment of brand communities and investigated the mechanism through which commitment of a community is able to increase various loyalty behaviors (e.g. repurchase intentions, positive word ofmouth, and constructive complaints).

Evaluating the perceived social impacts of hosting large-scale sport tourism events: scale development and validation
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed and tested a multidimensional scale to evaluate the perceived social impacts of a large-scale sport tourism event, which revealed the multi-dimensional nature of perceived social impact and contributed to a better understanding of how local residents view the impacts associated with a large scale sport tourism events.

The Determinants of Corporate Entrepreneurial Intention Within Small and Newly Established Firms
TL;DR: In this paper, the determinants of corporate entrepreneurial intention (CEI) within small and newly established firms were studied. And they found that in these ventures, entrepreneurial activities usually oc...

Indian consumers' purchase intention toward a United States versus local brand
TL;DR: A study of Indian consumers examines the effects of individual characteristics (i.e., consumer's need for uniqueness and attitudes toward American products) and brand-specific variables (e.g., perceived quality and emotional value) on purchase intention toward a U.S. retail brand versus a local brand as discussed by the authors.

Evaluating Structural Equation Models with Unobservable Variables and Measurement Error

TL;DR: In this paper, the statistical tests used in the analysis of structural equation models with unobservable variables and measurement error are examined, and a drawback of the commonly applied chi square test, in additit...

A new look at the statistical model identification
TL;DR: In this article, a new estimate minimum information theoretical criterion estimate (MAICE) is introduced for the purpose of statistical identification, which is free from the ambiguities inherent in the application of conventional hypothesis testing procedure.

Estimating the Dimension of a Model
TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of selecting one of a number of models of different dimensions is treated by finding its Bayes solution, and evaluating the leading terms of its asymptotic expansion.

Significance tests and goodness of fit in the analysis of covariance structures
TL;DR: In this article, a general null model based on modified independence among variables is proposed to provide an additional reference point for the statistical and scientific evaluation of covariance structure models, and the importance of supplementing statistical evaluation with incremental fit indices associated with the comparison of hierarchical models.
