TL;DR: The RSA threshold signature scheme presented in this article is robust and unforgeable in the random oracle model, assuming the RSA problem is hard, and the signature share generation and verification is completely non-interactive.
Abstract: We present an RSA threshold signature scheme. The scheme enjoys the following properties: 1. it is unforgeable and robust in the random oracle model, assuming the RSA problem is hard; 2. signature share generation and verification is completely non-interactive; 3. the size of an individual signature share is bounded by a constant times the size of the RSA modulus.

TL;DR: A method for estimating the parameters of hidden Markov models of speech is described and recognition results are presented comparing this method with maximum likelihood estimation.
Abstract: A method for estimating the parameters of hidden Markov models of speech is described. Parameter values are chosen to maximize the mutual information between an acoustic observation sequence and the corresponding word sequence. Recognition results are presented comparing this method with maximum likelihood estimation.

TL;DR: The literature concerning man-computer transactions abounds in controversy about the limits of "system response time" to a user's command or inquiry at a terminal, but two major semantic issues prohibit resolving this controversy.
Abstract: The literature concerning man-computer transactions abounds in controversy about the limits of "system response time" to a user's command or inquiry at a terminal. Two major semantic issues prohibit resolving this controversy. One issue centers around the question of "Response time to what?" The implication is that different human purposes and actions will have different acceptable or useful response times.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for calculating multiloop inductances formed by complicated interconnection conductors is described, where the conductor loops are divided into segments for which so-called partial inductances are calculated.
Abstract: This paper describes a method for calculating multiloop inductances formed by complicated interconnection conductors. Knowledge of these inductances leads to useful information concerning the design of such systems. In the approach pursued here, the conductor loops are divided into segments for which so-called partial inductances are calculated. The partial inductancens are then appropriately added to yield the desired loop inductance.
