TL;DR: In this article, the authors present results of research into CFRP and FRCM (Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) confined concrete elements exposed to high temperatures, and discuss damage patterns and presents analysis of limit load capacity based on both laboratory experiments and analytical calculations.
Abstract: This paper presents results of research into CFRPs (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers) and FRCM (Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) confined concrete elements exposed to high temperatures. Concrete cylinder specimens were reinforced with CFRP sheets and FRCM mesh and exposed to the following temperatures: +40 °C, +60 °C, +80 °C, over a period of 24 h. Immediately after taking the specimens out of the climatic chamber they were tested until failure. Their temperature was monitored constantly prior, during and after testing by thermal imaging cameras. This paper discusses damage patterns and presents analysis of limit load capacity based on both laboratory experiments and analytical calculations. Also presented was the stress–strain relationship for elements exposed to high temperatures.

01 Oct 2015TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the asymptotic behavior of the time-changed stochas-tic process f X(t) = B( f S(t)), where B is a standard one-dimensional Brow-nian motion and f S is the (generalized) inverse of a subordinator.
Abstract: We study the asymptotic behaviour of the time-changed stochas- tic process f X(t) = B( f S(t)), where B is a standard one-dimensional Brow- nian motion and f S is the (generalized) inverse of a subordinator, i.e. the first-passage time process corresponding to an increasing Lprocess with Laplace exponent f. This type of processes plays an important role in statis- tical physics in the modeling of anomalous subdiffusive dynamics. The main result of the paper is the proof of the mixing property for the sequence of stationary increments of a subdiffusion process. We also investigate various martingale properties, derive a generalized Feynman-Kac formula, the laws of large numbers and of the iterated logarithm for f X.

07 Aug 2009TL;DR: In this article, the p-chain approach was used to obtain a metric in a space X equivalent to p P for some 0 < p < 1, hence also a quasi-metric ƥ equivalent to ρ with better properties.
Abstract: Given a space X with a quasi-metric ρ it is known that the so-called p-chain approach can be used to produce a metric in X equivalent to p P for some 0 < p < 1, hence also a quasi-metric ƥ equivalent to ρ with better properties. We refine this result and obtain an exponent p which is, in general, optimal.
