Manganese organometallic compounds in homogeneous catalysis: Past, present, and prospects

TL;DR: The use of first row transition metal complexes is one of the mainstreams in modern homogeneous catalysis as discussed by the authors and the case of manganese is peculiar in that catalytic applications of its coordination compounds featuring nitrogen-and oxygen-based ligands are well established, whereas those of its organometallic complexes exhibiting Mn C and/or Mn H bonds are still underdeveloped and have only recently focused substantial attention.

Iron-catalyzed/mediated oxidative transformation of C–H bonds

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on C-H bond cleavage in oxidative transformation via iron catalysis, as well as applications in synthetic chemistry, and present a review of the state of the art at the frontiers of chemistry.
