Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic performance of Mn3O4 and Co3O4 nanocrystals prepared by sonochemical method in epoxidation of styrene and cyclooctene
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple sonochemical method was developed to synthesize uniform sphere-like Co 3 O 4 and Mn 3O 4 nanocrystals, which showed a superior catalytic performance as compared to the bulk catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oxidation of alkanes by iodosylbenzene (PhIO) catalysed by supported Mn(III) porphyrins : Activity and mechanism
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of reaction solvent, catalyst support and dioxygen on the oxidation yields and product distributions of pentane and cyclohexane with iodosylbenzene have been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biological evaluation of new nickel(II) metallates: Synthesis, DNA/protein binding and mitochondrial mediated apoptosis in human lung cancer cells (A549) via ROS hypergeneration and depletion of cellular antioxidant pool.
P. Kalaivani,Sithuraj Saranya,Paramasivan Poornima,Rathinasabapathi Prabhakaran,F. Dallemer,V. Vijaya Padma,Karuppannan Natarajan +6 more
TL;DR: The data from the present study disclose that the nickel(II) thiosemicarbazone complexes could induce apoptosis in A549 cells through mitochondrial mediated fashion and inhibited the migration of lung cancer cells and by metastasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hierarchic self-assembly of nanoporous chiral networks with conformationally flexible porphyrins.
David Écija,Knud Seufert,Daniel Heim,Willi Auwärter,Claudia Aurisicchio,Chiara Fabbro,Davide Bonifazi,Davide Bonifazi,Johannes V. Barth +8 more
TL;DR: The results show that the creation of homochiral superstructures based on the hierarchical assembly of conformationally flexible molecular components constitutes a unique pathway toward the design of novel and functional chiral structures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic Characterization of an FeIV Intermediate Generated by Reaction of XO− (X = Cl, Br) with an FeII Complex Bearing a Pentadentate Non-Porphyrinic Ligand − Hydroxylation and Epoxidation Activity
Véronique Balland,Marie-France Charlot,Frédéric Banse,Jean-Jacques Girerd,Tony A. Mattioli,Eckhard Bill,Jean-François Bartoli,Pierrette Battioni,Daniel Mansuy +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the ground state has two unpaired electrons in the two π* orbitals, as known for O2, which is the case for the L5FeIVO]2+ and [L5FeOIVOCH3]3+ complexes.
