Hemoprotein Models Based on a Covalent Helix–Heme–Helix Sandwich: 2. Structural Characterization of CoIII Mimochrome I δ and δ Isomers

TL;DR: In this article, the 3D structure of the parent compound CoIII mimochrome I was characterized by UV/visible, CD, and NMR spectroscopy, coupled with conformational energy calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

H2O2/NaHCO3-mediated enantioselective epoxidation of olefins in NTf2-based ionic liquids and under ultrasound

TL;DR: In this paper, the benign H2O2/NaHCO3 oxidative combination was used for enantioselective epoxidation of olefins using a chiral manganese porphyrin as a catalyst.

Mechanistic Study of Iron(III) [Tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)Porphyrin Triflate (F20TPP)Fe(OTf) Catalyzed Cyclooctene Epoxidation by Hydrogen Peroxide

TL;DR: It is shown that catalytic activity of the (F20TPP)Fe+ cation can be achieved in aprotic solvent by displacing the tightly bound chloride anion with a weakly bound triflate anion and water can coordinate to the iron porphyrin cation in aProtic systems resulting in catalyst deactivation.

Origin of the Oxygen Atom in C-H Bond Oxidations Catalyzed by a Water-Soluble Metalloporphyrin.

TL;DR: The monopersulfate oxidation of 4-isopropylbenzoic acid performed in H(2)(18)O and catalyzed by a water-soluble metalloporphyrin indicated that half of the oxygen atoms incorporated in 4-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)benzoylacetophenone, the primary hydroxylation product, came from water.
