Synthesis and characterisation of polymer-anchored oxidovanadium(IV) complexes and their use for the oxidation of styrene and cumene

TL;DR: In this article, the Schiff bases H2fsal-ea (I), H2FSal-pa (II) and H2lfsal-amp (III) derived from 3-formylsalicylic acid and 2-aminoethanol, 3-aminopropanol and 2amino-2-methylpropanol, respectively, have been connected, by means of covalent bonds, to chloromethylated polystyrene cross-linked with 5 % divinylbenzene.

Photooxidation of a Platinum-Anthracene Pincer Complex: Formation and Structures of PtII-Anthrone and -Ketal Complexes

TL;DR: Irradiating the cyclometalated pincer complex Pt(II)(DPA)Cl (1, DPA = 1,8-bis(diphenylphosphino)anthracene) in the presence of O(2) led to three sequential oxidations of the anthracenyl ring, which could be accelerated by light irradiation and was followed by UV-vis absorption and NMR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Designing molecules for PDT: red light-induced DNA cleavage on disulfide bond activation in a dicopper(II) complex.

TL;DR: DNA cleavage data from control experiments reveal involvement of the disulfide unit as a photosensitizer undergoing photo-induced S-S bond cleavage on exposure to UV light and the resulting species activates molecular oxygen to form singlet oxygen (1O2) that causes DNA cleavage following a type-II process.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel and selective catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons to ketones using chloramine-T/O2/Fe(TPP)Cl system

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel and highly selective oxidation of hydrocarbons to the corresponding ketones using the Fe(TPP)Cl/chloramine-T/O 2 system was described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regioselective oxyfunctionalization of unactivated carbons in steroids by a model of cytochrome P-450: osmiumporphyrin complex/tert-butyl hydroperoxide system.

TL;DR: Ttert-Butyl hydroperoxide catalyzed by (5,10,15,20-tetramesitylporphyrinate) osmium(II) carbonyl [Os(TMP)CO] complex was found to be a highly efficient versatile oxidant for C-H carbons in steroid substrates.
