Detection of glyphosate with a copper(II)-pyrocatechol violet based GlyPKit

TL;DR: In this paper, a test kit for the selective detection of glyphosate (GlyP) was developed, where a copper-II-pyrocatechol violet complex was selected by a screening approach from a pool of 96 combinations of metal ions and commercially available indicators and incorporated as a detection zone into a hydrophobic C18 solid support.

Multiple Resistance to Glyphosate and 2,4-D in Carduus acanthoides L. from Argentina and Alternative Control Solutions

TL;DR: Findings are the first evidence of glyphosate and 2,4 D resistance in C. acanthoides, an invasive species native to Europe and distributed in other parts of the world, including North and South America.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pesticide monitoring of agricultural soil pollution

TL;DR: In this paper, the content of residual amounts of insectoacaricides and herbicides residual amounts in the soil in the spring and autumn was analyzed in the Samara region conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of glyphosate and AMPA concentrations in the urine of Australian and New Zealand populations.

TL;DR: In this article , the first data on glyphosate and its primary degradation product aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) concentrations in pooled and individual urine from the Australia and New Zealand region using a sensitive direct injection method and compare results with studies from elsewhere.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

TL;DR: One of the first specialized agencies of the United Nations to become active, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as discussed by the authors has elicited interest beyond the specialized field of agricultural economists.

Glyphosate: a once-in-a-century herbicide.

TL;DR: The use of this virtually ideal herbicide is now being threatened by the evolution of glyphosate-resistant weeds, and adoption of resistance management practices will be required to maintain the benefits of glyphosate technologies for future generations.

Concerns over use of glyphosate-based herbicides and risks associated with exposures: a consensus statement

TL;DR: GBHs are the most heavily applied herbicide in the world and usage continues to rise; Worldwide, GBHs often contaminate drinking water sources, precipitation, and air, especially in agricultural regions and regulatory estimates of tolerable daily intakes for glyphosate in the United States and European Union are based on outdated science.
