Root biomass and cumulative yield increase with mowing height in Festuca pratensis irrespective of Epichloë symbiosis

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used Festuca pratensis as a model species to study how mowing and weed control practices of perennial cool-season fodder grasses affect total yield and root biomass.

Effect of Roundup on the Activities of Glycosidase in the Intestines of Typical and Facultative Ichthyophages as a Function of Temperature and pH

TL;DR: The decrease in temperature at neutral pH level eliminates the inhibitory effect of Roundup on the glycosidase activity of intestinal mucosa and chyme, although the inhibitories effect increases at acidic pH levels.

Glyphosate: a once-in-a-century herbicide.

TL;DR: The use of this virtually ideal herbicide is now being threatened by the evolution of glyphosate-resistant weeds, and adoption of resistance management practices will be required to maintain the benefits of glyphosate technologies for future generations.

Concerns over use of glyphosate-based herbicides and risks associated with exposures: a consensus statement

TL;DR: GBHs are the most heavily applied herbicide in the world and usage continues to rise; Worldwide, GBHs often contaminate drinking water sources, precipitation, and air, especially in agricultural regions and regulatory estimates of tolerable daily intakes for glyphosate in the United States and European Union are based on outdated science.
