Femtoscopy with identified charged pions in proton-lead collisions at √sNN =5.02 TeV with ATLAS

Morad Aaboud, +2892 more
- 28 Dec 2017 -
TL;DR: In this paper, Bose-Einstein correlations between identified charged pions are measured for $p$+Pb collisions at 5.02$ TeV using data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of $28$ $\mathrm{nb}^{-1}".
Journal ArticleDOI

Prompt and non-prompt J/ψ elliptic flow in Pb+Pb collisions at sNN=5.02 Tev with the ATLAS detector.

Morad Aaboud, +2935 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the elliptic flow of both prompt and non-prompt mesons in the decay channel of the Pb+Pb collision with the ATLAS detector at the LHC.

Observation of the muon inner bremsstrahlung at LEP1

Jalal Abdallah, +347 more
Abstract: Muon bremsstrahlung photons converted in front of the DELPHI main tracker (TPC) in dimuon events at LEP1 were studied in two photon kinematic ranges: 0.2 < Eγ ≤ 1 GeV and transverse momentum with respect to the parent muon pT < 40 MeV/c, and 1 < Eγ ≤ 10 GeV and pT < 80 MeV/c. A good agreement of the observed photon rate with predictions from QED for the muon inner bremsstrahlung was found, contrary to the anomalous soft photon excess that has been observed recently in hadronic Z0 decays. The obtained ratios of the observed signal to the predicted level of the muon bremsstrahlung are 1.06 ± 0.12 ± 0.07 in the photon energy range 0.2 < Eγ ≤ 1 GeV and 1.04 ± 0.09 ± 0.12 in the photon energy range 1 < Eγ ≤ 10 GeV. The bremsstrahlung dead cone is observed for the first time in the direct photon production at LEP.

Search for R-parity-violating supersymmetry in events with four or more leptons in √s =7 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2942 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for new phenomena in final states with four or more leptons (electrons or muons) is presented based on 4.7 fb(-1) of root s = 7TeV proton-proton collisions delivered by the Large Hadron Collider and recorded with the ATLAS detector.

Search for WH production with a light Higgs boson decaying to prompt electron-jets in proton-proton collisions at √s=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2944 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for WH production with a light Higgs boson decaying to hidden-sector particles resulting in clusters of collimated electrons, known as electron-jets, was performed with 2.04 fb(-1) of data collected in 2011 with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV.
