Kerui Peng,Yana Safonova,Mikhail Shugay,Alice B. Popejoy,Oscar L. Rodriguez,Felix Breden,Petter Brodin,Amanda M. Burkhardt,Carlos Bustamante,Van Mai Cao-Lormeau,Martin Corcoran,Darragh Duffy,Macarena Fuentes Guajardo,Ricardo Fujita,Victor Greiff,Vanessa D. Jonsson,Xiao Liu,Lluis Quintana-Murci,Maura Rossetti,Jianming Xie,Gur Yaari,Wei Zhang,Malak Abedalthagafi,K.O. Adekoya,Rahaman A. Ahmed,Wei Chiao Chang,Clive M. Gray,Yusuke Nakamura,William D. Lees,Purvesh Khatri,Houda Alachkar,Cathrine Scheepers,Corey T. Watson,Gunilla B. Karlsson Hedestam,Serghei Mangul +34 more
TL;DR: By leveraging biological and clinical heterogeneity across different populations in omics data and expanding the populations that are included in immunogenomics research, this work can enhance the understanding of human adaptive immune responses, promote the development of effective diagnostics and treatments, and eventually advance precision medicine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential force microscope for long time-scale biophysical measurements.
Jason Choy,Sapun H. Parekh,Ovijit Chaudhuri,Allen P. Liu,Carlos Bustamante,Matthew J. Footer,Julie A. Theriot,Daniel A. Fletcher +7 more
TL;DR: The differential force microscope presented here provides a sensitive method for quantifying force and displacement with long time-scale stability that is useful for measurements of slow biophysical processes in whole cells or in reconstituted molecular systems in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI
Not all fish are equal: functional biodiversity of cartilaginous fishes (Elasmobranchii and Holocephali) in Chile
TL;DR: The presence of 93 species was confirmed, although 30 species were encountered rarely, through validated catch records and sightings made in artisanal and commercial fisheries and on specific research cruises.
Journal ArticleDOI
Egg capsules of the dusky catshark Bythaelurus canescens (Carcharhiniformes, Scyliorhinidae) from the south‐eastern Pacific Ocean
TL;DR: The external morphology of the egg capsule of Bythaelurus canescens and its fixation to the substratum are described, revealing the presence of longitudinal ridges and long coiled tendrils at both anterior and posterior ends of the capsule.
Journal ArticleDOI
Egg capsules of the yellownose skate Zearaja chilensis (Guichenot 1848) and the roughskin skate Dipturus trachyderma (Krefft and Stehmann 1974) (Rajiformes: Rajidae) from the south-eastern Pacific Ocean
TL;DR: This is the first report on egg-laying rate of Z. chilensis and D. trachyderma from the south-eastern Pacific Ocean and the first description of egg capsules of both species.
