Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the transverse momentum and phi(eta)*. distributions of Drell-Yan lepton pairs in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2861 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the transverse momentum and the related angular variable of DrellΓCoYan lepton pairs with the ATLAS detector at the LHC and compared their results to predictions from perturbative and resummed QCD calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for supersymmetry at √s= 13 TeV in final states with jets and two same-sign leptons or three leptons with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2847 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for strongly produced supersymmetric particles is conducted using signatures involving multiple energetic jets and either two isolated leptons (e or μ) with the same electric charge or at the same location.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for new resonances in Wγ and Zγ final states in pp collisions at √s = 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2896 more
- 10 Nov 2014 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a search for new resonances decaying to final states with a vector boson produced in association with a high transverse momentum photon, Vγ, with V=W(→lν)V=W (→ lν) or Z(→ l+l−)Z(→lp+lp) where l=el=e or μ.
Journal ArticleDOI

Charged-particle multiplicities in pp interactions at sqrt(s) = 900 GeV measured with the ATLAS detector at the LHC

Georges Aad, +3211 more
- 26 Apr 2010 -
TL;DR: The first measurements from proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC are presented in this paper, where the charged-particle multiplicity, its dependence on transverse momentum and pseudorapidity, and the relationship between mean transversal momentum and charge multiplicity are measured for events with at least one charged particle in the kinematic range.
Journal ArticleDOI

The H1 lead/scintillating-fibre calorimeter

R. D. Appuhn, +89 more
TL;DR: In this article, the backward region of the H1 detector has been upgraded in order to provide improved measurement of the scattered electron in deep inelastic scattering events, and the centerpiece of the upgrade is a high-resolution lead/scintillating-fibre calorimeter.
