Journal ArticleDOI

A computationally efficient hypothesis testing method for epistasis analysis using multifactor dimensionality reduction

TL;DR: The goal of the present study was to develop and evaluate several alternatives to large‐scale permutation testing for assessing the statistical significance of MDR models and find that this new hypothesis testing method provides a reasonable alternative to the computationally expensive 1,000‐fold permutation test and is 50 times faster.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bladder cancer SNP panel predicts susceptibility and survival

TL;DR: Genetic variation in genes that regulate telomere maintenance, mitosis, inflammation, and apoptosis have not been assessed extensively for bladder cancer and can now be assessed in multiple study populations to identify and validate SNPs appropriate for clinical use.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imputation and subset-based association analysis across different cancer types identifies multiple independent risk loci in the TERT-CLPTM1L region on chromosome 5p15.33

Zhaoming Wang, +383 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted an agnostic subset-based meta-analysis (association analysis based on subsets) across six distinct cancers in 34 248 cases and 45 036 controls.
