TL;DR: An efficient coordinator guided PSO (ECG-PSO) is proposed, which provides a good diversity to the swarms maintaining good convergence speed and hence improves the fitness and robustness of the technique.
Abstract: Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a stochastic optimization algorithm which usually suffers from local confinement losing its diversity. In this paper, we have proposed an efficient coordinator guided PSO (ECG-PSO), which provides a good diversity to the swarms maintaining good convergence speed and hence improves the fitness and robustness of the technique. We comprehensively evaluate the performance of the ECG-PSO by applying it on real-parameter benchmark optimization functions. Again, the result of comparison shows that ECG-PSO is more efficient compared to other PSO variants for solving complex problems.

TL;DR: In this article, two versions of cross-patch circuits with different mechanisms and a comparative study between these circuits to find out which one is better is presented. But, there is no direct interface between these two radio frequencies, and the search for a complete solution for this cross patch circuit is still in progress.
Abstract: High frequency (HF), (3–30)MHz, and Very high frequency (VHF), (30–300)MHz, radio are the backbones of communication systems from many years. They are playing a major role in country wide communication system. Unfortunately there is no direct interface between these two radio frequencies. A lot of research work had been done to create a cross patch between HF radio and VHF radio. The search for a complete solution for this cross patch circuit is still in progress. The idea in this paper is to design at least two versions of crosspatch circuits with different mechanisms and have a comparative study between these circuits to find out which one is better. The Crosspatch circuits would be a two way communicating circuit to interface between HF and VHF frequency ranges, and will not depend on any external signal rather will take the help of an internal signal to provide the interfacing.

TL;DR: This paper has considered the hybridization of Boltzmann Machine of Artificial Neural Network with Genetic Algorithms for the graph coloring problem and proposes one efficient hybrid algorithm to have 100% convergence rate to valid solution with no parameter tuning.
Abstract: A recent and very promising approach for combinatorial optimization is to embed local search into the framework of evolutionary algorithms. In this paper, we present one efficient hybrid algorithms for the graph coloring problem. Here we have considered the hybridization of Boltzmann Machine (BM) of Artificial Neural Network with Genetic Algorithms. Genetic algorithm we have used to generate different coloration of a graph quickly on which we have applied boltzmann machine approach. Unlike traditional approaches of GA and ANN the proposed hybrid algorithm is guranteed to have 100% convergence rate to valid solution with no parameter tuning. Experiments of such a hybrid algorithm are carried out on large DIMACS Challenge benchmark graphs. Results prove very competitive. Analysis of the behavior of the algorithm sheds light on ways to further improvement.

TL;DR: In this article, a free vibration study of laminated composite stiffened elliptic paraboloid shell having cutout has been presented in terms of natural frequency and mode shape, which includes the effects of these parametric variations on natural frequencies and mode shapes and set of inferences of practical engineering significances.
Abstract: In this chapter free vibration study of laminated composite stiffened elliptic paraboloid shell having cutout has been presented in terms of natural frequency and mode shape. Cross- and angle-ply shells with different edge conditions have been studied varying the size and position of the cutouts. The present free vibration study includes the effects of these parametric variations on natural frequencies and mode shapes and set of inferences of practical engineering significances.
