TL;DR: A semi-analytical model based on unsteady state mass transfer has been developed for the prediction of permeate flux, membrane surface concentration and permeate side concentration during ultrafiltration in a standard single stirred cell as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: In this paper, an attempt has been made to evaluate and monitor the condition of a 6X19 Seale preformed haulage rope by nondestructive technique, which is the only means for assessment of haulage ropes in terms of local faults and loss in metallic area (LMA).
Abstract: Steel winding ropes used in aerial ropeways, deteriorate with use. Visual inspection is the most conventional method for evaluation of aerial ropes. But this method cannot evaluate the inner failure such as corrosion and other flaws. Nondestructive testing method is the only means for assessment of haulage ropes in terms of local faults (LF) and loss in metallic area (LMA). An attempt has been made in this paper to evaluate and monitor the condition of a 6X19 Seale preformed haulage rope by nondestructive technique.

TL;DR: In this paper, a deep architecture consisting of a novel Feature Representation Block (FRB) capable of efficient abstraction of the input information is proposed for automatic detection of scene texts in the wild.
Abstract: Automatic detection of scene texts in the wild is a challenging problem, particularly due to the difficulties in handling (i) occlusions of varying percentages, (ii) widely different scales and orientations, (iii) severe degradation in the image quality etc. Here, we propose a deep architecture consisting of a novel Feature Representation Block (FRB) capable of efficient abstraction of the input information. Also, we consider curriculum learning with respect to difficulties in image samples and gradual increase in pixel-wise blurring. Our framework is capable of detecting texts of different scales and orientations. It can tackle blurring from multiple possible sources, non-uniform illumination as well as partial occlusions of varying percentages. Text detection performance of the proposed framework on various benchmark datasets including ICDAR 2015, ICDAR 2017 MLT, MSRA-TD500 and COCO-Text has significantly improved the respective state-of-the-art results.

TL;DR: This paper has considered possibility, necessity and credibility measures of an exponential fuzzy variable of a formulated multi-item multi-objective inventory model with stock dependent demand with exponential fuzzy variables.
Abstract: In recent times exponential fuzzy variable plays a vital role in optimization problem because the linear membership function is not a suitable representation under several practical situations (Computers and Mathematics with Application 22:55–60, 1991; Journal of Experimental Psychology 105:254–276, 1976). In this paper, we have considered possibility, necessity and credibility measures of an exponential fuzzy variable. Here we have a formulated multi-item multi-objective inventory model with stock dependent demand with exponential fuzzy variables. Solution methodology of those models using chance operator has been discussed. Global criterion method and convex combination method are applied to derive optimal compromise solutions of the given model. To show the validity of the proposed models, few sensitive analysis are also presented under the different parameter. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed models.

TL;DR: The classification accuracy were impressive, thus these features along with the classification technique can be considered as suitable tools for automated grading of lung cancer cells undergoing EMT progression.
Abstract: Cellular auto-fluorescence along with morphological and cytoskeletal features were assessed in lung cancer cells undergoing induced epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT). During EMT progression, significant increase was observed in cellular aspect ratio (AR), filamentous (F)-actin and green auto-fluorescence intensities while blue intensity decreased. These features were provided to a kernel classification framework. The classification accuracy were impressive, thus these features along with the classification technique can be considered as suitable tools for automated grading of lung cancer cells undergoing EMT progression.
