TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic non-destructive method was used to study the condition of wire rope core ropes in two cage winders in a coal mine, and the results showed that the results were similar to those of the magnetic nondestructive method used in this paper.
Abstract: The most widely used method to study the condition of winder ropes is the magnetic nondestructive method. Localized and distributed flaws in winder ropes can be detected by this method. This paper is intended to highlight the findings using such a technique in the case of independent wire rope core rope in two cage winders in a coal mine.

01 Jan 2021TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used machine learning techniques to analyse Rabindranath Tagore's entire corpus of Rabindra Sangeet and found that each of these motifs reflects a certain mood of human psyche.
Abstract: The voluminous works of poet Rabindranath Tagore reflect a wide VIBGYOR of his creative persona. Within this great repertoire of creation, the songs he wrote and as well as rendered the tune have a significant place. The entire corpus of these songs which is better known as Rabindra Sangeet has a number of motifs which are categorized by the term ‘parjaay’ or class by the poet himself. Each of this class reflects a certain mood of human psyche. In the present work, machine learning techniques were used to analyse the songs belonging to four of the major class or ‘parjaay’ of the entire corpus of Rabindra Sangeet. Both lyrics and audio were separately used as the dataset, and related features were extracted to be fed into some of the existing machine learning algorithms. The results of these analysis were compared. We propose that this hitherto unknown means of analysing the works of Tagore will open new avenues to render further deep level analysis of the inherent semantics of his works.

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of the developed bimetallic electrocatalyst was compared with the commercial Pt/C. The electro-catalytic activity of developed Pd/FGP, PdAu, FGP, and PdC were investigated x-ray powder diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), and cyclic voltammetry (CV).

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of varying underlap lengths on the RF figure of merits (FOMs) such as the total gate capacitance (CGG), cut-off frequency (fT), and maximum frequency of oscillation (fMAX) using non-quasi-static approach was studied.
Abstract: An Underlap Double Gate (U-DG) Symmetric Heterojunction AlGaN/GaN Metal Oxide Semiconductor High Electron Mobility Transistor (MOS-HEMT) with varying source and drain underlap lengths have been studied. The analog performance of the devices has been studied on the basis of parameters like transconductance (gm), transconductance generation factor (gm/ID) and intrinsic gain (gmR0). This paper also depicts the effect of varying underlap lengths on the RF figure of merits (FOMs) such as the total gate capacitance (CGG), cut-off frequency (fT) and maximum frequency of oscillation (fMAX) using non-quasi-static approach. Studies shows that the increase in underlap length in MOS-HEMT decreases the DIBL and Subthreshold Swing. U-DG AlGaN/GaN MOS-HEMT with 300 nm symmetric underlap device shows superior Power Output Efficiency (POE) of 41% compared to the 200 nm underlap structure and 100 nm underlap length with 35% and 33% respectively.

TL;DR: The proposed set-point modulated fuzzy-based model reference adaptive controller (SFMRAC) is demonstrated on different second order linear, marginally stable and nonlinear models and on a real-time twin arm overhead crane for transport of material without pendulation.
Abstract: In model reference adaptive controller (MRACs), the adaptive gain of the controller is varied according to the process dynamic variation as it is directly related with the system stability. In MRAC, there is no provision of an automatic selection of adaptive gain and adaptation rate. To get rid of this problem and for the automatic selection of adaptive gain, a fuzzy-based scheme is presented in this article. In the proposed fuzzy-based technique, the controller output gain is illustrated as the function of input process parameters, which is continuously amended for any process parameter variations. A set-point modulation scheme is also incorporated to tackle the undesired process parameter variations and to improve performance indices of the process under control. The performance of the proposed set-point modulated fuzzy-based model reference adaptive controller (SFMRAC) is demonstrated on different second order linear, marginally stable and nonlinear models. The scheme is also explored on a real-time twin arm overhead crane for transport of material without pendulation.
