TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a quantitative descriptive approach to find out the service quality of food and beverages industries in Surabaya using a quantitative description approach, which is measured by comparing the actual service with the expected service to find Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
Abstract: Food and beverages industries in Surabaya have grown in the last few years. Businessmen have tried hard to deliver the best service they have to their customers in order to satisfy them. This research is done to find out the service quality of food and beverages industries in Surabaya using a quantitative descriptive approach. Service quality is measured by comparing the actual service with the expected service to find Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). CSI shows that food and beverages industries in Surabaya have already been able to deliver their best service quality to their customers. Hopefully this research is beneficial for the related industries because it can also serve as their feedback to understand their customers better and improve their service quality when needed.

TL;DR: In this article, a simple case using QFD on the design, detail, and process phase of a Meat Grinder product as a tool of improvement for hygienic of the Grinder was presented.
Abstract: Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a powerful development methodology with a wide range of applications. This paper presents a simple case using QFD on the design, detail, and process phase of a Meat Grinder product as a tool of improvement for hygienic of the Meat Grinder. The main purpose of QFD in this study was to apply in construction a method of customer-oriented design used in other industries, and to adapt some of the tables and matrices. Another purpose of this case study was to test the applicability of QFD in the design and process planning of a Meat Grinder. The developed prototype was chosen to be the screw part as the main part of the Grinder and a significant achievement was made on the improvement of hygienic, noted on less corrosive material selected of aluminum alloy 514.0 and improvement of surface roughness of 62.2%. Kata kunci: quality function deployment, the house of quality, penggiling daging.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of disclosure level to cost of equity and the significancy of the influence to companies with bluechips and non-bluechips stock was examined using statistical tool i.e. multiple regression.
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of disclodure level to cost of equity and the significancy of the influence to companies with bluechips and nonbluechips stock. Thirty listed companies in Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) selected based on certain criteria were used as research sample. Data are collected from documentation of financial statements and are analyzed by using statistical tool i.e. multiple regression.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the prospects of remanufacturing business from the retailers' perspectives through in-depth interviews on three retailers in Surabaya, Indonesia, and found that the main drivers for mobile phone remanufacturers are its affordable and competitive price, big demand for popular mobile phones and high-end mobile phone, the opportunity for specification upgrade, and its suitability with the needs of Indonesian people.
Abstract: Remanufacturing is deemed to be effective in reducing WEEE. Existing studies on remanufacturing mostly focus on operational issues, product acquisition, and pricing. However, some doubts about remanufacturing business arise in developing countries, where there is less regulation on remanufacturing and less environmental awareness. This study aims to investigate the prospects of remanufacturing business from the retailers' perspectives through in-depth interviews on three retailers in Surabaya, Indonesia. The main drivers for mobile phone remanufacturing business are its affordable and competitive price, big demand for popular mobile phones and high-end mobile phone, the opportunity for specification upgrade, and its suitability with the needs of Indonesian people. The main barriers for remanufacturing business are the possibility for cannibalizing new mobile phones' market share, the uncertainty of core supply, discontinuity of replacement part supply, lack of product knowledge among consumers and retailers, hesitation of retailers to sell remanufactured products, and lack of strict and clear regulations about remanufacturing business. Findings of this study provide insights to prospective mobile phone remanufacturers of what needs to be tackled to start a prosperous business. On the theoretical side, it provides complementary knowledge to existing studies that have been conducted mostly on countries that have higher environmental awareness.
