Abstract: School bullying is a common social problem around the world which affects teenagers, and physical violence is considered to be the most harmful This paper proposed an automatic physical bullying detection method with movement sensors to protect teenagers Four features were extracted from acceleration and gyro data, and an Instance-Based classifier was applied upon them Altogether eight kinds of activities, including three bullying kinds and five daily-life kinds, were acted by role playing Simulations were performed on these data, and the results showed that the proposed algorithm could recognize physical bullying events and distinguish them from daily-life ones at an average accuracy of 80% This showed a promise in automatic school bullying prevention with activity recognition techniques

Abstract: LUSI mud obtained from the mud volcano in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, is a viable aluminosilicate material to be utilized as pozzolanic material. LUSI is an abbreviation of the local name of the mud, i.e., Lumpur Sidoarjo, meaning Sidoarjo mud. This paper reports the results of an investigation to assess the pozzolanic activity of LUSI mud, especially in semi high volume pozzolanic mortar. In this case, the amount of mud incorporated is between 30% to 40% of total cementitious material, by mass. The content of SiO2 in the mud is about 30%, whilst the total content of SiO2, Fe2O3 and Al2O3 is more than 70%. Particle size and degree of partial cement replacement by treated LUSI mud affect the compressive strength, the strength activity index (SAI), the rate of pozzolanic activity development, and the workability of mortar incorporating LUSI mud. Manufacturing semi high volume LUSI mud mortar, up to at least 40% cement replacement, is a possibility, especially with a smaller particle size of LUSI mud, less than 63 μm. The use of a larger percentage of cement replacement by LUSI mud does not show any adverse effect on the water demand, as the flow of the fresh mortar increased with the increase of percentage of LUSI mud usage.

Abstract: Committed employess give a big contribution to organizations because they perform and behave on achieving organization's goals. Furthermore, workers who are committed to their organization are happy to be members of it, believe in and feel good about the organization and what it stands for, and inted to do what is good for the organization. Surprisingly,some new findings suggested that stated commitment is largely unrelated to performance. In fact, there is positive and significant relationship between commitment to supervisors and performance. It means commitment to supervisors become a good predictor to performance than commitment to organizations.

Abstract: This study analyzed the influence of economic value added, residual income, and two mandated performance measures, earnings and cash flow from operations to the shareholders' return of the public companies listed on Jakarta Stock Exchange. This study was also intended to know which performance measures have the most significant effect to the stockholders' returns. This study used linier regression to see the contribution form each independent variables influenced stockholders' return. The hypotheses was economic value added, residual income, earning and cash flow operation have significant influence to the stockholders' return. The most significant effect was from cash flow operation regression. The next variable which has significant effect also was earning. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan: (1) menganalisis pengaruh economic value added, residual income, earnings dan arus kas operasi, terhadap return yang diterima oleh pemegang saham perusahaan publik yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Jakarta dan (2) mengetahui tolok ukur mana yang mempunyai pengaruh yang paling signifikan terhadap return yang diterima oleh pemegang saham. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier untuk melihat besar kontribusi masing-masing variabel bebas dalam mempengaruhi return pemegang saham. Adapun hipotesis penelitian ini adalah economic value added, residual income, earnings dan arus kas operasi mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap return yang diterima oleh pemegang saham. Berdasarkan hasil uji t disimpulkan bahwa variabel arus kas operasi berpengaruh paling signifikan terhadap return yang diterima oleh pemegang saham. Selanjutnya variabel berikutnya yang juga berpengaruh signifikan adalah earnings. Kata kunci: economic value added, residual income, earning, arus kas operasi, return.

Abstract: Performance measurement is an essential thing for a company. To become the winner in this global competition world, the company has to show a performance improvement from period to period. Recently, financial performance measurement is not enough to reflect the real business performance. That why Kaplan developed Balanced Scorecard Concept. The Balanced Scorecard Concept measure the organization's performance through four perspectives that are the financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective and learning and growth perspective. In dead, the Balanced Scorecard Concept is a concept in translating strategy into action to achieve organization's gool in the long term. The action is measured and controlled continually. This article count on the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard Concept in some companies in USA. Many problems a difficulties which occur on the implementation of the concept could became opinion and suggestions for some companies who want to implement the Balanced Scorecard. However, Balanced Scorecard will help organizations (companies) to measure their performance more comprehensive and accurate. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penilaian kinerja merupakan hal yang esensial bagi perusahan. Untuk memenangkan persaingan global yang semakin ketat ini, kinerja sebuah organisasi haruslah mencerminkan peningkatan dari satu periode ke periode berikutnya. Dewasa ini pengukuran kinerja secara finansial tidaklah cukup mencerminkan kinerja organisasi sesungguhnya, sehingga dikembangkan suatu konsep Balanced Scorecard. Konsep Balanced Scorecard mengukur kinerja suatu organisasi dari empat perspektif yaitu perspektif finansial, perspektif customer, perspektif proses bisnis internal, perspektif pertumbuhan dan pembelajaran. Konsep Balanced Scorecard ini pada dasarnya merupakan penerjemahan strategi dan tujuan yang ingin dicapai oleh suatu perusahaan dalam jangka panjang, yang kemudian diukur dan dimonitor secara berkelanjutan. Tulisan ini menitikberatkan pada bagaimana penerapan konsep Balanced Scorecard di beberapa perusahaan di Amerika. Berbagai kendala dan permasalahan yang timbul dari penerapan konsep Balanced Scorecard menjadi masukan bagi perusahaan atau organisasi bisnis yang ingin menerapkan konsep ini. Bagaimanapun juga konsep ini akan membantu perusahaan untuk melakukan pengukuran kinerja secara lebih komprehensif dan akurat.
