TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyze the practical of watching television activity of those three children and what kind of matter that negotiate and integrate in their daily life. But the research focus is analyzed the practical TV activity and not the content.
Abstract: This research was held in 2006 for six months. It has been done because the audience was considering become the power to determine the Television program strength. As we know the audience has an important position in mediated communication, they are equal with communicator or text. The research of Television audience is to complete the studies about Television; however text will be meaningful if they deliver by the new communicator. Children are the research object in order to know how much Television become a part of daily life, especially Television programmed that broadcast the cartoon. This research involves three children with different social culture as an informant that lives in Banyuwangi. The research focus is analyze the practical of watching television activity of those three children and what kind of matter that negotiate and integrated in their daily life.

TL;DR: From the questionnaire result and human computer interaction test, proved that the simulation strongly supports the process of understanding the material and user’s interest in learning is increased, coupled with the easiness of application usage and user friendly.
Abstract: Human circulatory system is a topic that is very important to be learned. But in the process to learn it, it takes a high level of understanding because it is difficult to say with verbal language. Processes that occur in it are difficult to observe, happened so fast or even too slow. One way to understand it is through multimedia. This application will resemble the human circulatory system more interactive and interesting, in which players actively involved in the learning process. Starting from blood, blood vessels, heart, circulatory, until disease. There is also a test to measure the ability of a user. This application is created for Windows PC platform. From the questionnaire result and human computer interaction test, proved that the simulation strongly supports the process of understanding the material. Therefore, user’s interest in learning is increased, coupled with the easiness of application usage and user friendly.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the possibilities of serving children and elderly people in the same restaurant as long as food service industries provide the right products and services for them, and concluded that serving children in restaurants is possible with the right services and products.
Abstract: Marketers try to reach children and elderly as their target market; therefore it will give opportunities for food industries to focus on these groups. Physiological, economic, social, psychological, and convenience factors are examined to discover the possibilities serving these different generations. It is concluded that serving children and elderly people in the same restaurant is possible as long as food service industries provide the right products and services for them.

TL;DR: In this article, a Value Stream Mapping (VSMM) is developed to find three waste categories, i.e., over processing, waiting, and unnecessary movement, and solutions are given to reduce those waste s and reflect in the future state mapping.
Abstract: PT X is one of the biggest manufacturer companies in Indonesia. Achieving one of its mission—continuous improvement, PT X keeps on making the new innovations and solution breakthroughs for its business process. At this opportunity, the improvement will focus on the procurement and purchasing departments, responsible for the company’s daily transactions. The first stage in Value Stream Mapping is Current State Mapping , providing the activities of the current condition and their lead time . Next step is analysis, where all the waste s are identified and solutions are developed. Lastly, Future State Mapping is the continuation of the previous stage—generating the new process involving the new lead time . As the Value Stream Mapping is developed, it is found 3 waste categories, i.e. over processing, waiting, and unnecessary movement. Solutions are given to reduce those waste s and will reflect in the future state mapping. It is believed that the future mapping will shorten process’ lead time of the pre-purchase requisition by 33.25% and after purchase requisition by 28.17% for FSS and 23.53% for M&S category.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used linear predictive coding (LPC) to extract the pattern of the voice and then used nearest neighbor classifier method to recognize the word up to 92 %.
Abstract: This paper describe about the development of word recognition system by using a voice matching approach, which will match between reference voice spectrum and unknown voice spectrum. This designed system is limited to recognize a voice, which only consists of one word. There are five words, which will be recognized in this system. They are "satu", "dua", "tiga", "empat", and "lima". Input device of the system is a microphone. The output of microphone will be amplified by using a pre-amplifier circuit. Then, the signal is converted to digital signal by using an analog to digital converter (ADC), so that, the microprocessor TMS320C5x can read the data from the signal. This system uses linear predictive coding (LPC) to extract the pattern of the voice. Word recognition process is done by using nearest neighbor classifier method. Basic principle of this method is to find the shortest distance between unknown voice pattern and reference voice patterns. An unknown voice pattern is recognized as the reference voice pattern, which has the shortest distance with that unknown pattern. Some experiments have been done in various people voices. They are people whose voices are in reference voice database, people whose voices are not in database. Experimental results show that the system can recognize the word up to 92 %.
