TL;DR: In this article, a new modeling method according to artificial neural network (ANN) disciplined by four optimization algorithms, namely teaching-based optimization (TLBO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA) and imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA), has been suggested to estimate the surface tension (ST) of binary ionic liquids (ILs) mixtures.
Abstract: The surface tension (ST) of ionic liquids (ILs) and their accompanying mixtures allows engineers to accurately arrange new processes on the industrial scale. Without any doubt, experimental methods for the specification of the ST of every supposable IL and its mixtures with other compounds would be an arduous job. Also, experimental measurements are effortful and prohibitive; thus, a precise estimation of the property via a dependable method would be greatly desirable. For doing this task, a new modeling method according to artificial neural network (ANN) disciplined by four optimization algorithms, namely teaching–learning-based optimization (TLBO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA) and imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA), has been suggested to estimate ST of the binary ILs mixtures. For training and testing the applied network, a set of 748 data points of binary ST of IL systems within the temperature range of 283.1–348.15 K was utilized. Furthermore, an outlier analysis was used to discover doubtful data points. Gained values of MSE & R2 were 0.0000007 and 0.993, 0.0000002 and 0.998, 0.0000004 and 0.996 and 0.0000006 and 0.994 for the ICA-ANN, TLBO-ANN, PSO-ANN and GA-ANN, respectively. Results demonstrated that the experimental data and predicted values of the TLBO-ANN model for such target are wholly matched.

TL;DR: In this article, the role of social capital in reducing burnout and improving employee performance in the hotel industry is analyzed, and the results reveal that the social capital has a significant negative influence on burnout, and a significant positive influence on employee performance.
Abstract: The hospitality industry is known for its labor-intensive and intense interpersonal relationships characteristic. The high rate of burnout in hospitality industry has been a crucial issue. The burnout could lead to employee performance decline. The previous studies suggested that the happy and cooperative employees tend to deliver a better performance. Since cooperative is a part of social capital, this study aims to analyse the role social capital in reducing burnout and improving employee performance. The data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to all of non-daily worker employees at the first-line and middle-line level in three budget hotels in the similar chained hotel group in Surabaya. We processed the data using partial least square analysis technique. The result reveals that the social capital have a significant negative influence on burnout, and a significant positive influence on employee performance. We also ascertain that burnout have a significant negative influence on employee performance.

TL;DR: Experimental results show that the prediction of drop out student is improved, and student performance is monitored when the data from the previous academic enrollment are added.
Abstract: This paper presents the study of data mining in the education industry to model the performance for students enrolled in university. Two algorithms of data mining were used. Firstly, a descriptive task based on the K-means algorithm was utilized to select several student clusters. Secondly, a classification task supported two classification techniques, known as decision tree and Naive Bayes, to predict the dropout because of poor performance in a student’s first four semesters. The student academic data collected during the admission process of those students were used to train and test the models, which were assessed using a cross-validation technique. Experimental results show that the prediction of drop out student is improved, and student performance is monitored when the data from the previous academic enrollment are added.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined whether online advertising on social media Instagram influences purchase intention through shopping motivation and found that online advertising can affect utilitarian and hedonic shopping motivations for beauty care products and services.
Abstract: This study examines whether online advertising on social media Instagram influences purchase intention through shopping motivation. The study uses causal quantitative research methods with 110 respondents using purposive sampling techniques. The results show that Instagram social media online advertising has a positive effect on buying interest and utilitarian and hedonic shopping motivations for beauty care products and services. Hedonic motivation influences the customer's desire to buy beauty care products and services, but conversely, utilitarian motivation does not affect the interest in buying beauty care products and services. Online advertising can affect utilitarian shopping motivation but does not affect buying interest, while online advertising affects hedonic motivation and then affects customers in buying beauty care at Favourite Beauty Care Surabaya.

TL;DR: The meaning of urban centre is adaptable with urban history as discussed by the authors and political situation; including government system, geographical condition, history of the past are three major keys to understand the meaning of 'urban centre'.
Abstract: Meaning of 'urban centre' terminology is adaptable with urban history. Political situation; includes government system, geographical condition, history of the past are three major keys to understand the meaning of 'urban centre'. In Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya, urban centre created a gap with city periphery. The gap, since 1980s, becomes less and less because the existence of small to medium scale industry which is located surrounding the city centre. During 1980s, political situation encouraged the types of industry to grow in developing country, such as Indonesia, which are firstly located in developed country. Street development in Indonesia also reduces the gap. In the 21st century, there is unbalance quantity of street length in big city; such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Semarang, and number of vehicle. Hence, this condition creates a new gap between city centre and periphery.
