Representasi perempuan pada lukisan di bak truk

Abstract: The backs of dump trucks have transformed to not only as a transportation mechanism, but also as visual communication media. This phenomena goes along with the many advertisements that utilizes this kind of medium in promoting certain products. But the backs of dump trucks become a promotional medium because of the already many paintings painted on them, which they are originally plain on the right, left, and the back sides. Women become figures that many portray as their painted subjects. This article focuses more on the painting phenomena that uses the female figures through a gender study, to see whether woman representations in the paintings of the backs of trucks are signified as having imbalanced gender relations. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Bak truk telah menjelma tidak saja menjadi alat transportasi namun juga media komunikasi visual seiring dengan semakin banyaknya iklan yang memanfaatkan media ini dalam mempromosikan suatu produk. Namun perjalanan bak truk menjadi media promosi diawali oleh bertebarannya lukisan yang memanfaatkan bak truk yang semula kosong di sisi kanan, kiri maupun belakang truk. Perempuan menjadi figur yang banyak dipakai sebagai objek lukis. Tulisan ini lebih menyoroti fenomena lukisan yang banyak mengambil figur perempuan dalam kajian gender, untuk melihat apakah representasi perempuan dalam lukisan di bak truk tersebut dimaknai sebagai adanya ketimpangan dalam relasi gender. Influence of IT Application to Organizational Performance mediated by warehouse management and customer relationship management

Abstract: In this thesis discuss about the affect of Information Technology Application to Organizational Performance through Warehouse Management and Customer Relationship Management on company. In this study using primary data with a population of 109 companies and 52 samples of companies using data collection methods, namely 5 points Likert scale in the form of questionnaires distributed in companies that are groups on third party logistic companies in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling analysis techniques, also called path modeling with SmartPLS tools. The questionnaire collected was 53 questionnaires. The result showed that the affect of Information Technology Application on Organizational Performance were positive and significant. In addition, the results also showed that the affect of Information Technology Application on Warehouse Management were positive and significant, the result showed that the affect of Information Technology Application on Customer Relationship Management were positive and significant, the result also showed that the affect of Warehouse Management on Organizational Performance were positive and significant, and the result showed that the affect of Customer Relationship Management on Organizational Performance were positif and significant in 3PL companies in Surabaya and Sidoarjo

Analisis Visual Warna pada Game Post Apocalyptic (Studi Game The Last Of Us, Metro Exodus, dan Horizon Zero Dawn)

Abstract: Abstrak Video game sebagai bentuk media visual di era modern memiliki peranan dalam masyarakat sebagai salah satu bentuk hiburan yang bersifat interaktif. Video game terus berkembang dalam tata visual sebagai bentuk evolusi dari teknologi video game tersebut. Evolusi dalam video game membuat genre dalam video game juga mengalami perkembangan. Salah satu genre yang menjadi tren adalah genre post apocalyptic . Penelitian ini mencoba melihat narasi yang hendak disampaikan lewat tata visual beberapa video game dengan genre post apocalyptic . Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengumpulkan data screen capture dari beberapa judul video game dengan rating yang baik. Dari metode ini, teori yang digunakan untuk melakukan analisa adalah teori semiotika khususnya yang berkaitan dengan tata visual pada video game khususnya elemen warna yang menjadi kunci genre ini dengan menggunakan software Image. Setelah itu data dianalisis lebih lanjut dengan metode AEIOU ( Action, Environment, Interaction, Object, User ). Studi ini memberi gambaran bagaimana tata visual yang menjadi ciri khas genre game post apocalyptic dan nilai estetis yang bisa dipelajari dari genre tersebut. Pada akhirnya studi ini dapat menjadi pondasi dalam melakukan riset warna khususnya dalam pengembangan sebuah video game  Kata kunci : desain game, p ost apocalyptic, video game, warna  Abstract Video games as a form of visual media in the modern era has a role play in society as one of interactive entertainment form. Video games continue to grow in visual elements as evolution forms from video game technology itself. The evolution of video games also makes the genre of video games experience development. This research attempts  to observe the narrative is to be conveyed through the visual elements of several video games with the Post-apocalyptic genre. The method used was  to collect screen capture data from several video game titles with good ratings. The theory that used to conduct the analysis is a semiotic theory relate to visual elements, especially the colors element that is the key to this genre. Analisis wacana kritis program mata najwa “balada perda” di metrotv

Abstract: Pada 16 Januari 2013, Mata Najwa mengangkat tema Balada Perda di tengah pemberitaan mengenai perda yang kontroversial. Mata Najwa membahas empat aturan daerah yang mengundang pro dan kontra dalam masyarakat yaitu aturan larangan mengangkang bagi kaum perempuan di Lhokseumawe; aturan nama bayi dengan ciri kedaerahan di Surabaya; inisiatif bupati mengajak pejabat daerah ke penjara di Bualemo; dan aturan wajib mengaji dan mematikan televisi di Kampar. Dalam paradigma kritis, pengunaan bahasa dalam media bersifat sengaja dan memiliki tujuan tertentu. Melihat hal ini, peneliti tertarik melihat wacana yang dibangun dalam episode tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis wacana kritis model Teun van Dijk dan menemukan bahwa Mata Najwa membangun wacana bahwa perda melayani kepentingan pemerintah; perda mengintervensi privasi masyarakat; dan perda mendiskriminasi kelompok tertentu. Pembentukan wacana ini sekaligus menunjukkan pendefinisian dan penempatan posisi yang dilakukan Mata Najwa terhadap partisipan produksi wacana. Mata Najwa menempatkan Najwa Shihab sebagai pihak yang dominan sehingga realitasnya bisa diterima publik sebagai kebenaran. Dengan perpaduan analisis teks, kognisi sosial dan konteks, peneliti menemukan wacana yang dibangun Mata Najwa meneguhkan pandangan bahwa perda pasca otonomi daerah mengundang pro dan kontra dalam masyarakat. Peneliti juga menemukan bahwa tayangan Mata Najwa Balada Perda dipengaruhi oleh kepentingan ekonomi media Metro TV.

Downward sloping demand curves for stock and leverage

Abstract: This research attempts to investigate the effect of downward sloping demand curves for stock on firms' financing decisions. For the same size of equity issuance, firms with steeper slope of demand curves for their stocks experience a larger price drop in their share price compare to their counterparts. As a consequence, firms with a steeper slope of demand curves are less likely to issue equity and hence they have higher leverage ratios. This research finds that the steeper the slope of demand curve for firm's stock, the higher the actual leverage of the firm. Furthermore, firms with a steeper slope of demand curves have higher target leverage ratios, signifying that these firms prefer debt to equity financing in order to avoid the adverse price impact of equity issuance on their share price.
