Abstract: Representation of Nationalism in Corporate Advertising of PT. Gudang Garam Tbk. Nationalism is a psychological condition in which somebody surrenders his loyalty to nation state in the name of a nation. While representation is something refers to message, by which reality is encoded in communication; by words, sound, image, or their combination. This thesis explains about how nationalism is represented in the corporate advertising of PT.Gudang Garam Tbk. version “Rumahku Indonesiaku” and “Rumahku Indonesiaku: Cahaya Asa”. This is a qualitative research using semiotics method, based on the codes of television theory by John Fiske, syntagm-paradigm concept by Saussure, and the grammar of film and television. The nationalism represented in the advertising consists of self-determination, solidarity, patriotism, social justice, and national identity. Although the advertising is a Corporate Social Responsibility campaign, it still contains particular symbol refers to usual symbol that represents Gudang Garam cigarette product.

Abstract: In this paper we discuss some models for estimating the regression function, provided the data Y is given. The programming of these function are presented as well as the "tricks" in the R- programming, a statistical freeware. We applied these models to The Priest River Experimental Forest's data. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam paper ini akan diberikan beberapa model untuk mengestimasi fungsi regresi bila sebuah data Y diberikan. Pembuatan fungsi - fungsi estimasti tersebut juga diberikan dengan menggunakan freeware statistik R dan juga diberikan beberapa trik dalam pemrograman. Model-model ini diaplikasikan pada Priest River Experimental Forest's data. Kata kunci: regresi nonparametrik, smoothing, kernel, R.

Abstract: My aim in writing this paper is to describe that in this fast-changing world, media in Indonesia has undergone a rapid transformation. Digital technology continues to reshape the mass media landscape using internet technology. Internet brings a technical communication revolution, a fundamental change takes place in the structure of connections, artificial memories and the reproduction of their content. Internet technology has made communication much easier and less expensive. It has attracted many people and has penetrated into people’s daily lives. The mass media also have accepted the internet. Almost all forms of traditional media (old media) in local media, such as radio, television, and newspaper have extended their work into this new field. The internet and the World Wide Web have both significantly influenced modern journalism. In online media allows readers to enjoy browsing their product and service of contents, such as news feed, podcasts, desktop alert, news on mobile phones, PDA and others mobile devices. Online media offer not only text but also digital images , audio file, moving images (video), internet radio and internet t v. The interactive features of the internet seemingly imply that online media have more advantages than traditional media forms (old media). So, the internet have dramatically evolved become new media with characteristic multimedia, hypertext, interactivity, archives , and virtuality. The most important structural new media characteristic is the integration of telecommunications, data communications and mass communication in a single medium – it is the convergence. It should be pointed out that the trend toward digital is affecting the various media and brings the local media in East Java to become a global media, where breaking news from Surabaya or anywhere in East Java is transmitted to around the world in a matter of minutes . The research was carried out to find out how user reception on convergence media, journalism and local media on the site of SuaraSurabaya.net and how to access subjective meanings that they have created based on t heir understanding on online media so far. The research is also interested in looking into user reception on information and communication technology based on its relevance with the selected theme namely discourses on global media in website of Radio Suara Surabaya.

Pengaruh Social Influence, Perceived Usefulness, Dan Perceived Security Terhadap Continue Use Intention Aplikasi Mobile Payment Ovo Melalui Attitude Towards Using Mobile Payment Sebagai Variabel Intervening Di Kalangan Mahasiswa Fakultas Bisnis Dan Ekonomi Universitas Kristen Petra

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat adopsi penggunaan Mobile Payment OVO di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Bisnis dan Ekonomi Universitas Kristen Petra. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Sample yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 113 responden yang adalah mahsiswa Fakultas Bisnis dan Ekonomi Universitas Kristen Petra. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan dengan instrumen angket. Data diolah menggunakan pendekatan persamaan model struktural dengan teknik Partial Least Square. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh Social Influence dan Attitude Towards Using Mobile Payment pada Continue Use Intention aplikasi mobile payment OVO di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Bisnis dan Ekonomi Universitas Kristen Petra.

Implementasi total productive maintenance di departemen non jahit pt. kerta rajasa raya

Abstract: The effectivity improvement of production facility in factory is not only on facility manitenance but also on human resources. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) gives an optimal solution to effectivity improvement. A case study of TPM implementation have done in non sewing department of PT Kerta Rajasa Raya. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Peningkatan efektivitas dari fasilitas produksi di suatu perusahaan bukan hanya terbatas pada perawatan fasilitas kerja saja tetapi juga sumber daya manusia. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) memberikan suatu solusi optimal terhadap peningkatan efektivitas dengan melibatkan semua sumber daya manusia yang bertanggung jawab terhadap fasilitas produksi. Suatu studi kasus terhadap pengimplementasian TPM dilakukan di departemen non jahit PT. Kerta Rajasa Raya. Kata kunci : TPM, MTTF, Autonomous Maintenance.
