Study of ordered hadron chains with the ATLAS detector

Morad Aaboud, +2929 more
- 29 Nov 2017 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a model of a helical QCD string fragmenting into a chain of ground-state hadrons was proposed and a threshold momentum difference in the production of adjacent pairs of charged hadrons is observed, in agreement with model predictions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for New Phenomena in Final States with Two Leptons and One or No b-Tagged Jets at sqrt[s]=13 TeV Using the ATLAS Detector.

Georges Aad, +2879 more
TL;DR: Inspired by the B-meson decay anomalies, a four-fermion contact interaction between two quarks and two leptons is used as a benchmark signal model, which is characterized by the energy scale and coupling, Λ and g_{*}, respectively.

Comparison of fragmentation functions for light-quark- and gluon-dominated jets from $pp$ and Pb+Pb collisions in ATLAS

Morad Aaboud, +2912 more
TL;DR: In this article, charged-particle fragmentation functions for jets azimuthally balanced by a high-transverse-momentum, prompt, isolated photon are measured in $25$ pb$^{-1}$ of Pb+Pb collision data at $5.02$ TeV per nucleon pair with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider.
Journal ArticleDOI

Suppression of away-side jet fragments with respect to the reaction plane in Au + Au collisions at √sNN=200 GeV

A. Adare, +442 more
- 09 Aug 2011 -
TL;DR: In this article, pair correlations between large transverse momentum neutral pion triggers (pT) = 4-7 GeV/c) and charged hadron partners (p(T)) in central (0%-20%) and midcentral (20%-60%) Au + Au collisions at root s(NN) = 200 GeV are presented as a function of trigger orientation with respect to the reaction plane.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Deeply-Virtual Compton Scattering on Deuterium and Neon at HERMES

TL;DR: In this article, the first observation of azimuthal beam spin asymmetries in hard electroproduction of real photons off nuclei was reported, attributed to the interference between the Bethe-Heitler process and the deeply virtual Compton scattering process, the asymmetry gives access to the latter at the amplitude level.
