Journal ArticleDOI

Computational screening for active compounds targeting protein sequences: methodology and experimental validation.

TL;DR: This work constructed a model for predicting ligand-protein interaction based only on the primary sequence of proteins and the structural features of small molecules and it was successfully used in discovering nine novel active compounds for four pharmacologically important targets.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Mannich/cyclization cascade process for the asymmetric synthesis of spirocyclic thioimidazolidineoxindoles

TL;DR: An asymmetric cascade Mannich/cyclization reaction between 3-isothiocyanato oxindoles and sulfimides using a commercially available organocatalyst has been developed and a wide range of structurally diverse spiro[imidazolidine-4,3'-oxindole] derivatives were obtained with good yields and excellent enantioselectivities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbodiimide crosslinked collagen from porcine dermal matrix for high-strength tissue engineering scaffold.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used carbodiimide to chemically modify the collagen derived from porcine acellular dermal matrix (PADM), and showed that the strength and resistance of PADM to enzymatic digestion can be adjusted by reconnection of free amino and carboxyl groups of the collagen fibers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Smart Transformation of a Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane Shell Controlled by Thiolate Silver(I) Nanocluster Core in Cluster@Clusters Dendrimers

TL;DR: Using polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) modified by a thiol group as a protected ligand, atom-precise multi-heteorocluster-based dendrimers Ag12 @POSS6 (1 a and 1 b) were assembled and showed different hydrophobicity.
