Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative sequence analysis of the human and pufferfish Huntington's disease genes.

TL;DR: This work cloned and sequenced the homologue of the HD gene in the pufferfish, Fugu rubripes, and describes a detailed example of sequence comparison between human and Fugu, which illustrates the power of the Pufferfish genome as a model system in the analysis of human genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Software for genome mapping by fingerprinting techniques

TL;DR: A genome mapping package has been developed for reading and assembling data from clones analysed by restriction enzyme fragmentation and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis to meet the needs of the Caenorhabditis project.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative ab initio prediction of gene structures using pair HMMs.

TL;DR: A novel comparative method for the ab initio prediction of protein coding genes in eukaryotic genomes which simultaneously predicts the gene structures of two un-annotated input DNA sequences which are homologous to each other and retrieves the subsequences which are conserved between the two DNA sequences.
