TL;DR: A Lyapunov function is proposed to prove the closed-loop system stability and the semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all state variables and a series of simulation results indicate that proposed controllers can track desired trajectories well via selecting appropriate control gains.
Abstract: The research of this paper works out the attitude and position control of the flapping wing micro aerial vehicle (FWMAV). Neural network control with full state and output feedback are designed to deal with uncertainties in this complex nonlinear FWMAV dynamic system and enhance the system robustness. Meanwhile, we design disturbance observers which are exerted into the FWMAV system via feedforward loops to counteract the bad influence of disturbances. Then, a Lyapunov function is proposed to prove the closed-loop system stability and the semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all state variables. Finally, a series of simulation results indicate that proposed controllers can track desired trajectories well via selecting appropriate control gains. And the designed controllers possess potential applications in FWMAVs.

TL;DR: This report develops a kind of responsive CPC patterns with multicolor shifting properties by inkjet printing mesoporous colloidal nanoparticle ink on both rigid and soft substrates and shows great promise for developing advanced responsive CPC devices such as anticounterfeiting devices, multifunctional microchips, sensor arrays, or dynamic displays.
Abstract: Facile, fast, and cost-effective technology for patterning of responsive colloidal photonic crystals (CPCs) is of great importance for their practical applications. In this report, we develop a kind of responsive CPC patterns with multicolor shifting properties by inkjet printing mesoporous colloidal nanoparticle ink on both rigid and soft substrates. By adjusting the size and mesopores' proportion of nanoparticles, we can precisely control the original color and vapor-responsive color shift extent of mesoporous CPC. As a consequence, multicolor mesoporous CPCs patterns with complex vapor responsive color shifts or vapor-revealed implicit images are subsequently achieved. The complicated and reversible multicolor shifts of mesoporous CPC patterns are favorable for immediate recognition by naked eyes but hard to copy. This approach is favorable for integration of responsive CPCs with controllable responsive optical properties. Therefore, it is of great promise for developing advanced responsive CPC devices such as anticounterfeiting devices, multifunctional microchips, sensor arrays, or dynamic displays.

TL;DR: Porous Co/ZnO/C (CZC) microrods were fabricated easily from cuboid-shaped heterobimetallic MOFs, providing an efficient platform for integrating different semiconductors, magnetic metal, and carbon sources into one particle, which enhances the electromagnetic (EM) wave-absorbing ability.
Abstract: Metal–organic framework (MOF)-derived porous metal/C composites have drawn considerable attention from the microwave absorption field owing to their large pore volumes and surface areas. Exploring single-MOF-derived materials with high intensity and broadband absorption is largely needed but remains a challenge. Here, porous Co/ZnO/C (CZC) microrods were fabricated easily from cuboid-shaped heterobimetallic MOFs. CZC provides an efficient platform for integrating different semiconductors (ZnO), magnetic metal (Co), and carbon sources into one particle, which enhances the electromagnetic (EM) wave-absorbing ability. The carbonization temperature which is critical for EM parameters was studied in detail. CZC annealed at 700 °C outperformed those obtained at 600 or 800 °C in terms of microwave wave-absorbing properties. The reflection loss (RL) was optimized to −52.6 (or −20.6) dB at 12.1 (or 14.8) GHz with an effective bandwidth (RL ≤ −10 dB) of 4.9 (or 5.8) GHz at the coating thickness of 3.0 (or 2.5) mm. ...

TL;DR: The proposed LMI-based criteria are quite general since many factors, such as noise perturbations, Markovian jump parameters, and mixed time delays, are considered, which are more general than those discussed in the previous literature.
Abstract: In this paper, the problem of exponential stability is investigated for a class of stochastic neural networks with both Markovian jump parameters and mixed time delays. The jumping parameters are modeled as a continuous-time finite-state Markov chain. Based on a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and the stochastic analysis theory, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach is developed to derive some novel sufficient conditions, which guarantee the exponential stability of the equilibrium point in the mean square. The proposed LMI-based criteria are quite general since many factors, such as noise perturbations, Markovian jump parameters, and mixed time delays, are considered. In particular, the mixed time delays in this paper synchronously consist of constant, time-varying, and distributed delays, which are more general than those discussed in the previous literature. In the latter, either constant and distributed delays or time-varying and distributed delays are only included. Therefore, the results obtained in this paper generalize and improve those given in the previous literature. Two numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results and demonstrate that the stability criteria used in the earlier literature fail.
