Mutant S182(PS-1) genes

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for detecting variant PS-1 genes associated with Alzheimer's disease and methods of detecting the variant genes. But their method was not suitable for the detection of the genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

17q21.31 sub-haplotypes underlying H1-associated risk for Parkinson’s disease are associated with LRRC37A/2 expression in astrocytes

TL;DR: Parkinson's disease (PD) is genetically associated with the H1 haplotype of the MAPT 17q.21.31 locus, although the causal gene and variants underlying this association have not been identified as mentioned in this paper .
Journal ArticleDOI

Regional localization and characterization of a DNA segment on the long arm of chromosome 21

TL;DR: A human genomic DNA fragment, pAM37 (HGM8; D21S22), was mapped to chromosome 21q2.1- q2.21 by in situ hybridization and will contribute to the linkage mapping of chromosome 21 and will facilitate delineation of the pathological region of Down syndrome.
