Journal ArticleDOI

Localization of a human heat-shock HSP 70 gene sequence to chromosome 6 and detection of two other loci by somatic-cell hybrid and restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated by somatic cell hybrid and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analyses that there are a minimum of three distinct HSP 70 loci in the human genome, one of which is located on chromosome 6.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Role of Variation at AβPP, PSEN1, PSEN2, and MAPT in Late Onset Alzheimer’s Disease

Amy Gerrish, +93 more
TL;DR: Common variants at AβPP, PSEN1, and PSEN2 and MAPT are unlikely to make strong contributions to susceptibility for LOAD, however, the gene-wide effect observed at MAPT indicates a possible contribution to disease risk which requires further study.

Test and model for alzheimer's disease

TL;DR: In this article, a model system of Alzheimer's disease comprises a DNA sequence encoding an amyloid precursor protein (APP) isoform or fragment that has an amino acid substitution.
