TL;DR: It is demonstrated that blood-based NfL levels reflect WM integrity and supports the view that blood levels of Nf L are predictive of WM damage in the brain, and is a critical result in improving the interpretability of N fL as a marker of brain integrity.

TL;DR: While the performance of the normal controls remained unchanged over the 18 months for most neuropsychological tests, the patients with FAD displayed a decline in verbal memory, language, constructional and abstraction tests, and the greatest decline was observed on the Mini-Mental State Exam scores.
