Search for Down-Type Fourth Generation Quarks with the ATLAS Detector in Events with One Lepton and Hadronically Decaying W Bosons

Georges Aad, +3084 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for pair production of heavy down-type quarks decaying via b' → Wt in the lepton + jets channel, as b'(b) over bar'
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for heavy long-lived charged particles with the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV

Georges Aad, +3011 more
- 20 Sep 2011 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for long-lived charged particles reaching the muon spectrometer is performed using a data sample of 37 pb(-1) from pp collisions at root s = 7 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LH...
Journal ArticleDOI

Upper Limit for J/psi ---> gamma Axion

TL;DR: In this paper, the crystal ball detector was used to search for axion-like particles in radiative J/psi decays, and an upper limit on the branching ratio B(J/psi..--> gamma..+a) < 1.4 x 10/sup -5/ (90% C.L.) was obtained for long-lived, noninteracting pseudoscalar or vector particles of mass less than 1 GeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the atmospheric νe flux in IceCube.

M. G. Aartsen, +283 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the atmospheric electron neutrino flux in the energy range between approximately 80 GeV and 6 TeV was measured using data recorded during the first year of operation of IceCube's DeepCore low-energy extension.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for single top-quark production via flavour changing neutral currents at 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2842 more
TL;DR: A search for single top-quarks production via flavour-changing neutral current processes from gluon plus up- or charm-quark initial states in proton–proton collisions at the LHC is presented and an upper limit on the production cross-section multiplied by the t→Wb branching fraction is set.
