24 Feb 1998TL;DR: In this paper, an ultrasonic aerosol method was proposed for preparing powders of a variety of materials using a plurality of ultrasonic transducers underlying and ultrasonically energizing a reservoir of liquid feed.
Abstract: Provided is an aerosol method, and accompanying apparatus, for preparing powdered products of a variety of materials involving the use of an ultrasonic aerosol generator (106) including a plurality of ultrasonic transducers (120) underlying and ultrasonically energizing a reservoir of liquid feed (102) which forms droplets of the aerosol. Carrier gas (104) is delivered to different portions of the reservoir by a plurality of gas delivery ports (136) delivering gas from a gas delivery system. The aerosol is pyrolyzed to form particles, which are then cooled and collected. The invention also provides powders made by the method and devices made using the powders.

12 Oct 2000TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for producing barium titanate-based particulate compositions, which includes a heat treatment step, separate from a sintering step.
Abstract: The invention provides a method for producing barium titanate-based particulate compositions. The method includes a heat treatment step, separate from a sintering step, that involves treating a barium titanate-based particulate composition at a temperature between about 700° C. and about 1150° C. to increase average particle size. The increased average particle size can improve the electrical properties (i.e., dielectric constant and dissipation factor) of the heat-treated composition as compared to the composition prior to heat treating. The heat-treated composition may be further processed, for example, by producing a dispersion which may be cast and sintered to form a dielectric layer in electronic components including MLCCs.

TL;DR: In this paper, a line coupling device whose coupling function is achieved by interleaving of plural elongate latching members bearing teeth thereon is described, such that the coupling device may be readily coupled and uncoupled.
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a line coupling device whose coupling function is achieved by interleaving of plural elongate latching members bearing teeth thereon. The elongate latching members are supported in a member such that the coupling device may be readily coupled and uncoupled.

19 Apr 1982TL;DR: In this article, a method for densifying powders utilizing a pair of opposed gas-permeable belts arranged to either side of a common axis so as to define a generally convergent densifying zone between their adjacent faces is described.
Abstract: The invention comprises a method for densifying powders utilizing a pair of opposed gas-permeable belts arranged to either side of a common axis so as to define a generally convergent densifying zone between their adjacent faces The belts are supported spanwise by a plurality of opposed spaced apart support rolls, each opposed pair of rolls defining a densifying station therebetween The gas-permeable belts are driven toward the convergent end of the densing zone at substantially equal speeds while powder material to be densified is fed into the divergent end of the densifying zone at a rate sufficient to maintain a substantially complete fill thereof
