Abstract: A comparative characteristic of different concepts and expressions for determination of reactive power in the circuits with non-sinusoidal electric values has been given. For the first Ukrainian electric locomotives of DE1 type with the system of DC electric traction, the values of reactive power after Budeany, Fryze, and also the differential, integral and generalized reactive powers have been determined. Some measures on reducing its consumption by the DC electric rolling stock have been suggested.

Abstract: The purpose. The objective of this paper is to illustrate how the biological basis of the “natural” male and female characteristics is subjected to doubt in the books of the women-writers - “feminists before feminism” despite the dictatorship of the specific gender norms of the philosophical concepts of that period. These very concepts of the classical philosophy determined ideology, psychology and reasoning of both sexes in the Enlightenment including both public and private spheres. The “picture” of the sociocultural realia of that period is analyzed with the help of the gender which is used here not only as a role or feature but as methodology . The scientific novelty lies in constructing a more complete polyphonical picture of the sociocultural life in the epoch of the Enlightenment in rejecting the “one-sex” interpretation of the philosophy and culture of that period in assuring that there were two subjects in the Enlightenment history and culture-representatives of both sexes. The analysis of philosophical texts and fiction allows to make a conclusion : early feminists were sure that the rational capabilities of men and women do not differ the sexual differences are irrelevant in the problems of intellectual and moral education.

Abstract: Purpose. The paper is aimed to influence analysis of parameters such as the number of trains on the section and the length of freight trains, the total profit of the railway and determination of total profit of Prydniprovsk railway for major parts of the trains handling; the determination of the specific rate of return on 1 kilometer operational length of each individual link in the rail network. Methodology. To achieve this goal the simulation models of the sections of railway polygon and the simulation of cargo trains have been developed. On the basis of obtained results the dependence of the main parameters of train traffic and their impact on the overall profit of the railway was determined. Findings . On the basis of the conducted studies the functions operating costs for each section were developed to determine the optimal routes crossing of trains and choice of rational parameters. The operating costs, revenue, total profit of railways and certain impact parameters of train traffic volume on the economic performance of railway transport were calculated with their help. It is determined that freight trains, length 53-56 of a conventional car is optimal to pass and loading area should be 75-85% of the available crossing capacity. Taking into account given results, the electrification of the sections with diesel traction (due to the significant cost of diesel fuel) is the priority development of railway transport at the possible increase in size of the movement. Originality. Authors have improved the technology of determining the total profits of railways on the basis of variables train traffic volumes. For the first time the specific rate of profit on the 1 kilometer operational length of the section depending on the size of the average daily traffic is identified and proposed to use to determine the investment attractiveness of the railways. The simulation models of individual sections of the real train polygon at Prydniprovsk railway were developed. Practical value. Using the developed simulation models will allow calculating the economic benefits from increased daily train traffic volume in analytical way. Implementation of models will help to identify factors that affect the railway profit on separate sections of the trains crossing by determining the specific rate of profit.

Abstract: The article discusses the issues of models, tools and approaches to the smart cities subject area, which served as the basis for the standardization of the smart cities concept. Familiarity with these issues allows assess and understand the state of science in this field, which covers various aspects of the design, organization and operation of a smart city. As a result, the article gives presentation of different approach to smart cities creation. The authors urge to study in more detail certain aspects of the smart cities information technologies: digital economy, urban operating system, green energy, standards for transport movement, urban ecology. The article noted that today analysts are still discussing many proposed models and possible ways of transition to Smart City. The role of the Internet platforms in Smart Cities and various approaches to the implementation of the Smart City platforms themselves are shown. The paper compares various international approaches for smart cities creation and suggests that using project management methodologies is the best way for that goal. Project management allows maintain a balance between the total control of urban infrastructure and the right of residents for privacy. Meanwhile, many of us already live in a world of automated systems that manage urban infrastructure. The study emphasized ready-made information solutions exist that analyze large amounts of data using analytical forecasts and machine learning algorithms. In conclusion, it is noted that the main goal is that the introduction of the concept of smart cities should become a tool for the sustainable development of humankind while preserving the possibilities of freedom of choice and the inviolability of private life for a person, not transfer these functions to artificial intelligence.

Abstract: A mathematical model of heating of coal particles that move in the initial section of a submerged gas jet within the space between electrodes of reaction chamber of arc-heating reactor is created. The model takes into account convective heat transfer and heat transfer by radiation from a sphere (particle) – circle (anode) system. The temperatures of particles on mechanical trajectory are obtained depending on particle diameters and the initial coordinate of nozzle leaving.
