Evaluation of quality indicators contacting the surface of the tribological system «Wheel – Rail»

Abstract: Purpose. Modern ideas about the contact interaction of bodies in friction are based on models that take into account the geometric parameters of the surface layers constituting tribosystems. These models provide a high level of adequacy to describe the features of the relief of the surfaces of parts and their impact on the performance characteristics of friction in the elastic stresses. However, the possibility of plastic deformations in the surface layers, particularly before using friction systems, these models do not account for. The aim of this work is the development of new mathematical approaches previously applied accounting strains and their effect on the performance of tribosystems. Methodology . Using the contact mechanics approaches analyzed the influence of preload on contacting a flat rough surfaces using a model based on the assumption of normal distribution of heights and roughness of plastic deformation at the first load. Findings. Analytically determined that under moderate pressure reduction from baseline, the actual contact area is proportional to the pressure in the 2/3 power. O riginality. It is found that the contact patch size is proportional to the pressure of the first load. Practical value. It is established that at pressures lower than originally applied to the contact surfaces, the high values of the actual surface contact, the number of patches of actual contact are typical, than for the same pressure at the first load.

Structure and properties of the steel railway wheel disc after forced cooling

Abstract: The technological use of accelerated cooling makes it possible to improve the carbon steel properties of the all-rolled railway wheel disc. The properties’ complex depends on the temperature of the accelerated cooling termination. This is determined by the ratio of the carbon atoms emitted from the supersaturated solid solution to the crystal structure defects and dispersion strengthening from carbide phase particles. If the cooling stops at a temperature above 350°C, the decline rate of the strength properties increases. This is caused by the excessive softening effect of the solid solution breakdown and cementite spheroidization during the processes of dispersion hardening.

Conditions of historicity of human existence and history humanity according to jaspers

Abstract: Purpose. The research is aimed at understanding Jaspers' ideas concerning independent self-determination of a special and distinctive identity as a main condition of history humanity and historicity of human existence. The research is based on ideological heritage of Karl Jaspers, as well as cultural and historical analysis on the basis of historical, logical and comparative principles reflected in the papers of national and foreign scientists. As a result, it made possible to model cultural and historical context, philosophical and theoretical origins and world view intentions of the German philosopher. Originality . The analysis has shown that the key concepts of Jaspers' philosophy were focused to determine and substantiate a main condition of historical dynamics and humanism, namely the existence of a unique and distinctive identity able to create and generate new values that can turn into universal ones and give impetus to our society and promote its further humanization. Conclusions . According to this investigation, Jaspers' key concepts are immanently subject to justifying the conditions of history humanity and historicity of human existence. In their unity they allow us to adequately understand connection between social dynamics and humanism with unique individuals and distinctive identities that can create and generate new values with further social development prospects. Favourable conditions for these unique individuals to appear prevent from numerous unsafe challenges, which are a certain threat to our society. And on the contrary, if there are no such conditions for a human, he is prone to any totalitarianism, personal crime and can be a faithful servant of any leader.

Abstract: Розкрито основні напрями, здобутки та перспективи діяльності Відділення філософії освіти, загальної та дошкільної педагогіки Національної академії педагогічних наук України під час війни. Зазначено, що пріоритетними напрямами діяльності Відділення є подальше проведення фундаментальних і прикладних наукових досліджень, обговорення й вирішення нагальних проблем діяльності Відділення та наукових установ у період воєнного стану, обмін актуальною інформацією, підтримка кожного члена Відділення, координування й науково-методичне забезпечення функціонування наукових установ Відділення в контексті вимог воєнного стану, впровадження інноваційних ідей та методів щодо організації освітнього процесу в умовах війни, вироблення прогностичних напрямів розвитку освіти й науки у післявоєнних умовах. Висвітлено волонтерську діяльність учених Відділення під час війни, описано організаційні технології взаємодії керівництва та структурних підрозділів задля виконання статутних завдань академії в умовах воєнного стану.
