TL;DR: During the experiment, the energy quality improved when the parallel mode was used, and the concept of smart grid has been proposed to reduce energy losses for dynamic power management.
Abstract: The article is devoted to the experiment, what was performed on the local distribution networks with poor power quality. As a rule, these networks are subsystem of AC traction power supply system, and their design causes voltage unbalance and other power quality problems in consumers. Often, the network is powered by transformers with different vector groups, therefore their parallel operation is impossible. The purpose of the experiment is to assess the effect on energy quality of a regime with sources on both sides. The quality of electrical energy was estimated, considerable attention is devoted to unbalance voltage. Using the statistics methods measurement data are studied. During the experiment, the energy quality improved when the parallel mode was used. The concept of smart grid has been proposed to reduce energy losses for dynamic power management.

TL;DR: In this article, the conformational properties and 1 H NMR chemical shifts for N -methyl-4-tolyl-1-(4-bromonaphthyl)amine and N -phenyl-1-4 -bromonephthylamine were investigated at the DFT level using magnetically consistent 6-31G ## and STO ## -3G mag basis sets.
Abstract: Theoretical investigations of the conformational properties and 1 H NMR chemical shifts for N -methyl-4-tolyl-1-(4-bromonaphthyl)amine and N -phenyl-1-(4-bromonaphthyl)amine are reported. The calculations were performed at the DFT level (PBE1PBE functional) using magnetically consistent 6-31G ## and STO ## -3G mag basis sets. Conformational properties of the amines were studied using potential energy surface scanning. Chemical shifts were calculated using the GIAO and CSGT methods and averaged in proportion to the population of the corresponding conformations. Solvent effects (CDCl 3 ) were accounted via PCM method. The obtained results allowed to assign the 1 H NMR signals for the naphthalene moiety, which could not be done based on the experimental data alone.

TL;DR: The results of the calculations of the values of the main criteria show that the innovative project for the modernization of the locomotive provides a high level of economic efficiency and it is expedient to carry out this operation if the residual life of the upgraded locomotive of the M62 series is at least 15 months.
Abstract: Purpose . The use of anti-friction traction motor support bearings (TMSB) instead of plain friction traction motor support bearings is a priority direction of locomotive development both for newly constructed locomotives and for those in operation. The solution of the set tasks for introduction of wheel-motor blocks (WMB) with anti-friction bearings demanded the search for alternative variants and new technical solutions. The purpose of the article is to determine the feasibility of re-equipping the diesel locomotive wheel-motor blocks with anti-friction bearings through the life cycle calculation ( LCC) . Methodology. The procedure and criteria for assessing the economic efficiency of project (investment) proposals and investment projects approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine envisage that the cost-effectiveness analysis of an investment project is carried out according to the following criteria: net present value, internal rate of return, discounted payback period and profitability index. The use of these criteria of economic efficiency fully corresponds to modern principles, theoretical-methodical approaches and world practice in evaluating the efficiency of investments. The evaluation of the technical and economic efficiency of the modernization of the diesel locomotive wheel-motor block is made on the basis of calculation and comparison of the following criteria: the net present value (NPV) of modernization, the internal rate of return (IRR), the profitability index (PI) and the discount payback period. Findings. The results of the calculations of the values of the main criteria show that the innovative project for the modernization of the locomotive provides a high level of economic efficiency. At the same time, the value of the discounted payback period of investments in modernization indicates that it is expedient to carry out this operation if the residual life of the upgraded locomotive of the M62 series is at least 15 months. Originality . Taking into account the specifics of the type of locomotive work in freight traffic, we developed a method to determine the individual components of the average annual economic effect of modernization of the diesel locomotive wheel-motor block, which includes saving of oil costs, repairing and servicing the diesel locomotive wheel-motor unit, as well as change of TMSB brass and saving fuel costs for traction. Practical value . The results of the work make it possible to determine the expediency of modernization of diesel locomotives taking into account the features and conditions of their operation and the specifics of modernization.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the method of paired linear correlation for a more influential factors on passengers in intercity and commuter and possible use in predicting the linear regression equations, which will make short-term forecasting of traffic flow.
Abstract: Purpose . An effective organization of passenger traffic, due to the reliability prediction of traffic flow in passenger transport hubs. In order to determine the parameters of prospective passenger transport areas it is essential to analyze the impact of various factors and determine the most influential ones. Methodology . The article presents the method of paired linear correlation for a more influential factors on passengers in intercity and commuter and possible use in predicting the linear regression equations. Passenger transport vessel areas and branches of industry are interconnected and are in the ratio of passengers and production. Findings. It is found that the coefficient of correlation is in complex dependence on the duration of the period of retrospective analysis. Evaluation of reliability correlation coefficients and coefficients of predictive models led to the conclusion that the population gives the most accurate prediction of passenger flows, providing account of changes in Ukraine during the period of transformation. Originality. Equations of dependence on the impact of macroeconomic indicators were obtained and the evaluation of the reliability results was received. Practical value. The results of analysis and calculations will make short-term forecasting of traffic flow.

TL;DR: In this article, it has been shown that the composition of composite coatings based on copper is a promising direction in the creation of advanced materials for multifunctional purposes, in particular composites for fixing photosensitive elements at the surface of a certain configuration implies the electrodeposition of coatings by composites.
Abstract: Electrodeposition of composite coatings based on copper is a promising direction in the creation of advanced materials for multifunctional purposes. An important area of composites application is to use them in the treatment systems for gas emissions and wastewater. It is advisable to use semiconductor oxide materials, in particular titanium dioxide, as the photocatalysts in the photo destruction of organic pollutants of wastewater. The structural features of wastewater treatment equipment require that titanium dioxide particles should be fixed in a rigid matrix. Resolving the task of fixing photosensitive elements at the surface of a certain configuration implies the electrodeposition of coatings by composites, in particular Cu–TiO2. An important factor affecting the functional characteristics of composites and their manufacturing technology is the nature of the electrolyte. It has been shown that the electrodeposition of Cu–TiO2 composites from methane-sulfonate electrolytes makes it possible to reduce the coagulation of the dispersed phase and to obtain coatings with a high content of titanium dioxide from a suspension solution containing no more than 4 g/l of TiO2. It was established that the content of the dispersed phase in the composite made at a current density of 2 A/dm2 and the concentration of titanium dioxide in the electrolyte at the level of 4 g/l is 1.3 % by weight, which is twice as much as when using a sulfate electrolyte. It has been shown that the increase in the content of the dispersed phase in the coatings from 0.1 to 1.3 % by weight is accompanied by an increase in the degree of photo destruction of the colorant from 6 to 15.5 %. The micro-hardness of coatings increases, in this case, by 30 %. The proposed electrolyte to make the Cu–TiO2 composites is an important contribution to the development of the synthesis of wear-resistant high-performance photocatalysts for treating wastewater from organic pollutants
