TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examine the relationship between product and corporate brands with a view to clarifying the role and function of corporate branding in the context of different brand architectures, through the prism of rebranding decisions, brand architecture is analysed as an evolutionary strategy decision.
Abstract: This paper examines the relationships between product and corporate brands with a view to clarifying the role and function of corporate branding in the context of different brand architectures. Through the prism of rebranding decisions, brand architecture is analysed as an evolutionary strategy decision. Two broad strategies are identified: an integration strategy which seeks to achieve image alignment between corporate and product brands; and a separation strategy which seeks to shape different images for different stakeholders. Implementing these strategies within the context of the brand architecture, we introduce the concept of `ascending and descending brand extension', which leverages the strong image of the corporate brand to enhance the image and credibility of the product brand and vice versa. Based on this analysis, we propose three types of corporate branding strategy within the brand architecture framework: the `trade name', which is a basic identity over a house of brands; the `business brand...

TL;DR: Correlations between general text matcher and translation edit rate and post-editing productivity and segments with high GTM and TER scores and cognitive measures of effort are investigated.
Abstract: Machine translation (MT) quality is generally measured via automatic metrics, producing scores that have no meaning for translators who are required to post-edit MT output or for project managers who have to plan and budget for translation projects. This paper investigates correlations between two such automatic metrics (general text matcher and translation edit rate) and post-editing productivity. For the purposes of this paper, productivity is measured via processing speed and cognitive measures of effort using eye tracking as a tool. Processing speed, average fixation time and count are found to correlate well with the scores for groups of segments. Segments with high GTM and TER scores require substantially less time and cognitive effort than medium or low-scoring segments. Future research involving score thresholds and confidence estimation is suggested.

TL;DR: The 6-week progressive prehabilitation program for subjects undergoing ACLR led to improved knee function based on the single-legged hop test and self-reported assessment using the modified Cincinnati score, which supports prehabilitation as a consideration for patients awaiting ACLR.
Abstract: Background:Prehabilitation is defined as preparing an individual to withstand a stressful event through enhancement of functional capacity.Hypothesis:We hypothesized that a preoperative exercise program would enhance postoperative outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR).Study Design:Randomized controlled clinical trial; Level of evidence, 1.Methods:Twenty volunteers awaiting ACLR were randomly assigned to a control or exercise intervention group. The exercise group completed a 6-week gym- and home-based exercise program. Assessments include single-legged hop test; quadriceps and hamstring peak torque and magnetic resonance imaging cross-sectional area (CSA); Modified Cincinnati Knee Rating System score; and muscle biopsy of the vastus lateralis muscle completed at baseline, preoperatively, and 12 weeks postoperatively. Myosin heavy chain (MHC) isoforms protein and messenger RNA (mRNA) expression were determined with SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresi...

TL;DR: In this article, a Dirichlet problem for a system of two coupled singularly perturbed reaction-diffusion ordinary differential equations is examined and a numerical method whose solutions converge pointwise at all points of the domain independently of the singular perturbation parameters is constructed and analyzed.
