Journal ArticleDOI

Kinin receptors in pain and inflammation

TL;DR: Recent molecular and functional evidence suggests that the activation of B(1) receptors with an agonist may afford a novel therapeutic approach in the CNS inflammatory demyelinating disorder encountered in multiple sclerosis by reducing immune cell infiltration (T-lymphocytes) into the brain.
Journal ArticleDOI

New selective agonists for neurokinin receptors: pharmacological tools for receptor characterization.

TL;DR: Domenico Regoli and colleagues describe how new selective agonists developed have been successfully used in vitro to characterize the responses of peripheral organs to neurokinins, and in vivo to elucidate possible physiological roles of the neurokinin system.
Journal ArticleDOI

THE CONCISE GUIDE TO PHARMACOLOGY 2021/22: G protein-coupled receptors

Stephen P.H. Alexander, +154 more
TL;DR: The Concise Guide to PHARMACOLOGY 2021/22 as mentioned in this paper provides concise overviews, mostly in tabular format, of the key properties of nearly 1900 human drug targets with an emphasis on selective pharmacology (where available), plus links to the open access knowledgebase source of drug targets and their ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nuclear Retention of MBP mRNAs in the Quaking Viable Mice

TL;DR: It is shown that the QKI RNA binding proteins regulate the nuclear export of MBP mRNAs and this suggests that QKI participates in myelination by regulating the mRNA export of key protein components.
